During my first visit we had an extensive consultation where she asked questions to understand the type of cut and hair routine that would work best for my lifestyle. Zarinah provided me with the tools, products, and other knowledge needed in order to be successful, in between visits. 5 stars doesn’t begin to capture the experience. I’ve been going to her for 2+ years and my hair is thriving - full, thick, growing and healthy. She’s extremely knowledgeable about all things natural hair. She gave me a routine, inclusive of product recommendations based on my goals. She regularly checks-in and makes tweaks to my routine as needed. Her salon is serene and the experience is premium, and relaxing. Zarinah is simply amazing. She shares a lot of knowledge about curly hair, every visit is a treat. Polite, funny and very down to earth - she’s worth the long drive these three years. I have never had a better hair appointment than I did with Zarinah! She was thorough, patient, and explained how to use and apply every product that she used. We spent a great deal of time discussing my lifestyle needs, my workout routine, even the climate so that I could get the most out of my style. I have been on my natural hair journey for six years. I have turned to the internet and YouTube for advice on how to care for my hair, which has resulted in me not seeing the growth I want, frustrated and unhappy with my hair. After finding Zarinah I am much more confident in my natural hair journey and am learning to accept my hair as it grows out of my scalp. Before meeting Zarinah I would wear my hair in mostly braids or extensions but now I am comfortable rocking my kinky coily hair. On my first appointment with Zarinah she listened to my hair goals and was very attentive. I loved how informed she was about natural hair and how committed she is to making sure that I accept and embrace my natural hair. I did the curl therapy plan and have seen tremendous changes in my natural hair after implementing the regimen and suggestions she’s made for my hair. I get complements all the time when I style my hair the way Zarinah taught me and have recommended every natural who has asked to her shop! If you want to go to a natural hair specialist who is clearly passionate about what she does, and will take great care of your hair, go to Zarinah!! I feel so empowered and I’m so glad that I found her!!!!!
