Me and my husband did delivery randomly because I wasn’t feeling good and they were one of the only places we could find to get delivered. We spent a good amount of money as not everything is pictured but we got the midnight sun roll and energy roll which were absolutely amazing! My husband loved the chicken bowl too. The edamame was a total surprise which was so sweet. Didn’t get to see the actual restaurant but definitely will be going back!

My friends and I stopped at this small sushi restaurant after a long day in the sun visiting the avocado festival. We were a bit confused at first since there was no one inside but then a voice in the back welcomed us in. We were seated by a friendly waitress who was both funny and helpful. And while we figured out what to order, she surprised us with shrimp tempura on the house!

One of my friends is vegan and the waitress was extremely sweet about helping her out, she pointed out all the items that would fit her dietary guidelines and gave suggestions for what might taste good. For my own order, I chose the three items bento box which came with miso soup, rice, and salad. For the items, I picked the spicy tuna, sushi, and sashimi. My other friends ordered a variety of sushi rolls and bento boxes.

The food did take a while to be prepared, though this could be caused by the restaurant being a small establishment and there’s only one sushi chef. If you do come to visit, please be patient since everything is made to order. Once everything came out, I was pleasantly surprised by how large the portion sizes were. Both the sushi and sashimi were large cuts of fish and they were very generous with the amount. Everything tasted fresh and delicious, I enjoyed my bento box. The only thing I wasn’t the biggest fan of was the salad dressing, I’m not sure what the flavor was but it’s not my cup of tea. Overall, this restaurant is worth a visit if you are in the Fallbrook area, the staff were amazing and we had a great time!

Always such a great experience at Yumi. High quality always fresh Ingredients and the best service. Celebrated my anniversary here with my boyfriend and had the best time. Anzu and Eddie were amazing! Highly recommend for sushi and a night out.

This place is my kids and I place to go! The food is delicious, we love the sushi rolls, edamame, miso soup, and my kids always ask for Ramune drinks! The place is clean, the staff is friendly, the food is at a reasonable price, and parking is never a problem.

I have been ordering from this place for a while and since the change of ownership or management the service has gone downhill very fast. Ordered three rolls to go and when I got home I got one soy pack of soy sauce and I called to ask why and the girl hung up on me and when I called again she hung up again. Very bad taste in the mouth and will not buy from there.

Excellent creative flavors and combinations. Fresh and fast. Great modern decor. Small dining room, comfortable and very clean. Love the Carpaccio options, the hot and cold combo- Spicy tuna filling with say seared albacore on top of a roll, side of sauted veggies, or the low carb roll with cucumber.

The only negative I found is that Yumi Sushi is a bit too pricey for me to eat here often. There are no lunch specials. But the place is otherwise delightful. Clean and tidy, if small. The server at lunch today was gracious and helpful. I decided to have a special roll called Twin Peaks for $9.99. It was two mounds of crabmeat (not sure if it was real) bound with a savory sauce and wrapped with slices of glazed tilapia. Menu said it was baked but the tilapia was semi-cooked. There were toasted panko crumbs and scallions sprinkled on top. It was utterly delicious. Not a huge portion but perfect for a light lunch. Just looking around it seemed like the other special rolls were very large. As per the name of the restaurant, they specialize in fancy rolls with a few Japanese basics like noodle bowls, bento boxes, salads and dumplings. I'll definitely be back.

BEWARE new owners, new chefs that by hearing them speak are not Japanese, food quality was unedible. We paid the bill and left after two bites, made our disappointment known and no comments at all.

The imitation crab inside the rolls tasted like freeze-dried reconstituted mashed potatoes, was so dry could hardly eat it. The baked crawfish roll had toasted fish that was so dry and very little sauce on top of the reconstituted crab meat rolls.

Ordered teriyaki salmon in a bento box, the salmon was so overcooked could only eat one bite. It was also very thin like a slice of beef jerky.

They no longer have a liquor license, so nothing enjoyable to try to wash it down..

So much for our favorite sushi spot in Fallbrook, now off to try others. We will not be coming back here.

Finally went back for dine in. Really enjoyed the food an service. The rolls are very full of meat and taste nice. We will be making this our go to Sushi rather than driving all the way to Love Boat in Oceanside.
