Great beer selection!! 🍻 The Way Station is an absolute gem at the gateway to West Marin! The atmosphere is perfect—spacious outdoor seating that’s both family-friendly and inviting. The BBQ is phenomenal, with rich, smoky flavors that are clearly crafted with care. I also ordered their Mac-n-Cheese and their fries… both are freaking amazing and gave that extra side of “comfort” to my lunch. The beer garden offers a fantastic selection, making it an ideal spot to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The staff is friendly and attentive, adding to the warm and welcoming vibe. Whether you’re passing through or looking for a place to gather with friends and family, the Way Station is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

The food is lacking 👎🏻 but the service and atmosphere were great. If you’re looking for good BBQ this isn’t it, but maybe to grab a drink and hang out w/friends. I ordered the fried pickles for the appetizer, brisket w/side of coleslaw & Mac & cheese. We got our appetizer after our meal, which wasn’t a huge deal but common appetizers should be first. The brisket was tasteless and mushy, it was screaming for some help with flavor! The Mac & cheese was so dry & taste less as well, it really needed help with some comfort of creamy cheese & something to give it taste. But the fried pickles were good & the coleslaw wasn’t horrible, but also lacking in flavor. The food appeals to the eyes until you really get into it, I could tell right off the bat the mac & cheese needed some help.

Awesome spot! Great beer selection, delicious mac and cheese, and the smoked wings are a must-try. Cozy fire pit, live music, and super dog-friendly vibe. Perfect place to relax and enjoy good food and drinks. Highly recommend!

The foods terrible. They make mac and cheese once a week clearly. It’s mushy, incredibly stiff and dry at the same time. Clearly from the microwave. Mac and cheese should be made to order. And the ribs are also so dry and clearly if you know anything about food it’s made days in advance. You can taste it. If you like ribs don’t go here

We went to Way Station for an impromptu dinner date - and it was definitely worth it! As we walked in we were greeted with live music and a very friendly host/bartender. She was very welcoming, warm and genuinely happy we came in. We didn’t plan on grabbing a drink, let alone eating there - but we felt so comfortable that we ended up grabbing two of the Biggie’s Bodacious Bountiful Berry Blast sour IPA’s and I was the perfect combo to our outstandingly smoky pulled pork sandwich. The meat was cooked perfectly, buns weren’t soggy and they didn’t overload the coleslaw - the bbq sauce alone is Gold Star
HIGHLY recommended this place
P.s. we got lucky and it wasn’t too crowded 😉

I simply don’t think there is a better spot in Marin, that checks all these boxes: beer garden, iconic burgers, full beer tap with local/local-ish options from Lagers to Hazy IPAs and always a Nitro on rotation, live music on weekends and convenient parking (for both cars 🚗 and bikes 🚲)…

My party got Totchos with pulled pork (based on a recommendation), rib rack, mac & cheese, and beef brisket plate.
We really liked the Totchos - especially the tater tots! The brisket is good but chewy in my opinion. It was really soft and would break when poked by the fork! 5 oz was small for a party of four; I guess we should have gotten two orders.
The ribs were falling off the bone. It was great.

The mac & cheese could be better. It did seem like it was just heated up and given to us since the cheese wasn't gooey at any point in time.

Delicious bbq & sides, relaxing outdoor seating and would have been great except cook forgot half our order and they seem to have had kids issues in the past (due to signage). Staff did their best to apologize with free cookies.
