Ultracon SF was a really fun event. There were lots of people in cosplay attire, and they had a costume contest with many participants. My son met Mick Foley AKA Mankind. He got am autograph and selfie, not cheap at $60 per autograph or selfie or $100 for both, but dad said yes. He was very nice. There were other cool celebrities like Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Will & Holly from Land of the Lost, Jimmie Walker, the Red Dino Power Ranger and original Black Power Ranger, and a lot of different artists and writers. We also were overwhelmed by the number of great vendors there! Lots of neat memorabilia, legos, action figures, comics, original artwork, accessories and clothing, and even candy. Also, they had some fun displays such as The Ghostbusters car, equipment and actual Ghostbusters to take photos with and the Star Trek crewmembers took our photo on a transporter backdrop. My husband and son had communicators and phasers and I had my arms full of vibrating tribbles. We got our tickets from Groupon ahead of time and it was very much worth it. We spent about 5 hours there and were fully entertained.

Wonderful, family friendly event for anyone who loves cartoons, anime, nostalgia, and local artists. I've been going yearly since 2021 as both a vendor and fan, and I love you guys and what you put on here. I went to Miami's Supercon this year, and your event is 10X better, from ticketing to entering securely to vendor variety and content. I really don't get the negative reviews. Go for yourself, it's a wonderful time, and to see it grow over the years makes me so happy. Seeing the retro gaming station go from one console years ago to an entire section now is awesome; thank you for giving that vendor the space! Loved the claw machine arcade this year too. Thanks for a great event.

Vendors beware. Good luck getting two things:
A) Communication from event coordinators
B) Correct instructions or schedules
Why do I say these things? Our company was supposed to be a vendor at ultracon 2024 and we were super excited as it's rather local for us. We paid for our booth about 3 months before the con and we were waiting for any communication at all from the event.
Cut to the week of the convention we emailed them saying that we would like our money back since we had received zero information for the convention and thought we didn't get a booth. We, and I'm not kidding you, got an email first that said "We don't do refunds." Followed by finally getting our information 10 minutes after the first email. However the email with where our booth is located and nothing else, had the information for two different booth numbers which were on opposite ends of the hall.
The response we received was literally "It's clearly this number booth, I guess I suck at this lol."
At this point, we didn't feel comfortable even doing business or being associated with this convention. So we kindly asked for a refund one last time and received zero response.
Cut to the convention this weekend, we are friends with a couple other vendors and they informed us that the show floor was routinely closed an hour before what was advertised. Despite advertising to a certain time they have apparently done this at every single convention they have hosted. And the only reason I know this is that after the interaction we had with the event, I started scouring a page made for rating conventions from a vendors perspective. The reviews show that many many people have had terrible interactions with this convention.
TLDR; Vendors and artist alley prepare for a headache.

I was very disappointed this year as a vendor. Booths were $500 and I was stuck in the very back with very little foot traffic. At every other con I've been to, they put the Celebrities and other high popularity attractions in the back to entice the crowds to walk passed all of the vendors and give everyone a fair shot.

I just don't understand why they would put so many vendors in such an undesirable and low traffic area when we paid the same as people in the middle / premium spots.

There was poor signage so many people didn't even know my section existed. I wasn't even able to make booth rent when at the 2 dozen other conventions I've had the pleasure of exhibiting at, I've made booth rent and then some (a lot more).

The times were also falsely advertised. Website will say it's open until 7 but they will start closing down at 5:30 and make everyone leave by 6.

Overall a very poor experience as a vendor and I probably won't be back.

Very disappointed, bought tickets for saturday this year and planned on going early. However I was called into work, and got off at 5pm I rushed home to go as it said it ended at 7:00 PM. Got there about 5:45 pm got my ticket through walked in.

Every actor left hours before hand besides scoobie and the gentleman who drew Lilo and Stitch both who were very nice, but you advertise these people 10am-7pm and then they leave at 4:00 PM, That is false advertising.

On top of that you then announced you were closing at 6:30 PM and not the advertised 7:00 PM I was rushed out as quickly as I got there and did not get to enjoy anything.

Went to the Sunday event at the fairgrounds. Purchased the Groupon and saved a bit on the tickets. Really enjoyed the event. Lots of vendors and a good variety of different items. Only had the fair concession available but it was really good food. Daughter had a blast dressed as Inosuke. Looking forward to the next one.
