I went to Turner's in Oxnard to get hollow point and snake shot ammo for my Colt 45 ACP pistol. I brought the gun with me to show them what I was using the ammo for. They sold me the ammo, but when I got home I found that the front of the bullets would get stuck in the ramp before loading into the firing chamber. I went back to Turner's to return the ammo, but they refused to take them back. The manager admitted that hollow points might not load in an ACP and suggested I have the gun modified to they don't get stuck. He said the reason they won't take back ammo is because bullet reloading is so good these days that they couldn't be sure I hadn't already used the shells and reloaded them.
Conclusion: If Turner's in Oxnard will sell you ammo they know will not work in your weapon, why should anyone trust them or shop there? I wish I could give them a ZERO for their dishonesty and lousy customer service, and I won't go back there again!

Went in with my daughter to kill some time a few weeks back and wandered the archery department. A gentleman was on the phone, but asked if we needed a hand with anything, but we were just browsing. When he wrapped up the call he asked if my daughter wanted to shoot some arrows. She was nervous, at first, but Oscar was really encouraging. Before I knew it, she was up and running, high fiving him and learning how to "shoot darts."

I asked about lessons, of course, but he said that it’s hard because the store gets pretty busy at times. That said, we’re welcome to rent lanes and equipment and if he’s available he’ll help out. She learned a ton that first evening and couldn’t stop talking about it, so we went back to get her setup with a bow of her own.

Extremely reasonable prices – way better than driving out to Oak Tree Gun Club. Even better, Oscar was there again, grabbed everything she needed to get started and put it all together for us right then and there free of charge. Looking forward to going back for some practice!

I highly recommend this place if you’re interested in archery. Oscar went the extra mile for us, but made a point of saying Angela and all the others in the store can help out if he’s not around. Thank you!

Overpriced. Single neck gaiter cost over $25, needed one in a pinch. Over next few days as I went to other stores, there wasn’t a single store that wasn’t selling neck gaiters for under $5. These guys are scammers. Prices across all their fishing gear is high while selling low quality brands.

I picked up a P365 and my daughter got the Springfield Hellcat. I couldn't be prouder seeing my daughter purchase her first firearm. And the guys behind the counter at Turners Oxnard, Awesome, highly Knowledgeable and just great guys. Thank you for making my daughters first purchase a day I will never forget.

I went in yesterday and spoke with an associate about selling them a firearm and everything seemed cool. I came in this morning with the firearm and the people at the front counter called for the manager to perform a firearm safety check. However, the manager did not show up, and he had to be paged a total of 5 times over the course of 15 minutes for him to come to the counter when the store was practically empty. When the manager finally arrived he was rude and had a bad attitude. I told him I wanted to sell a gun and he told me that they were not buying firearms right now. When I told him about my conversation with an associate the manager said that the associate yesterday was wrong did not know what they are talking about. As he was doing so, I felt like he was trying to explain everything to me like I was a child, not an adult.

I understand if a business does not have the space to purchase items at this time. However, being forced to wait and being treated rudely by management means I probably would have taken my business elsewhere even if they had been making purchases. Also, the fact that the associates have not been informed by the managers about how the company is conducting buisness is a huge red flag for me.

I will not say that I will never shop at Turner's again, however, this location is now going to be visited only as a last resort in the future.
