My wife and I collect Pokemon cards for fun and love going into little card shops, usually I expect to overpay because most shops are pretty greedy, but this was not the case here. I have been coming to the shop since February of this year and have gone back every month to consistently buy a bulk set of vintage Pokémon cards. This shop is owned by a family that are some of the most kindest, sincere and loving people have ever met. Each time I came back, the deals got better and even sweeter. The amount of vintage cards and modern cards they have is unfathomable, and they hold tournaments every week. If you plan to bring your children, friends or yourself here, this is the spot to go to in San Diego hands-down.

Do yourself a favor and don't even bother with all of the other TCG card shops in San Diego county! That place in the mall might as well be called Jackrd stacks because Jacking me is what they tried to do. Yesterday I went into tubby's with a huge collection of all types of cards and they bought every single one of them at a price that I would not have been offered anywhere else. The staff were all friendly made me feel welcome and I feel really good about selling my collection to them. I knew they genuinely appreciate it. I am a woman and I get treated differently by The Men who partake in these types of things but I didn't get treated differently at tubby's.

Great environment, they have a "bulk" section to find cards that you could possibly fill out your deck or if youre a collector going thru nostalgic cards to slap in a binder. Great on their prices too! The guys at Tubbys make you feel like family. They have an energy like no other card shop does, they show care and respect for each and every customer that walk thru their doors. I 100% recommend this shop to any person who has an interest in the TCG world.

Visiting SD for the weekend and had to check out the local game stores for pokemon cards. This is the place to visit for the friendliest staff and for new collectors! They have vintage and modern cards available and Rudy gave me some great tips for learning the TCG through the new app.

Fair amount of Yugioh a lot of Pokémon and other card games Very good card shop. Their prices are based on tcg player, you can sell cards for cash at half the tcg player price. They have singles and displayed singles for Yugioh, Pokémon and a few others. It’s a smaller shop but they have what you need.

Make sure you check out this place if you’re into TCG. Easy to park in the plaza, their customers service made us feel like visiting a friend.

We were here for old school yugioh cards and they have it all and a lot more. Grand opening is in the first week of June and we will definitely visit again. They are small and starting up but they carry Yugioh, Pokémon, Digimon, and Dragon Ball. If you see something you like, they will hook you up and even go down in price from TCGPlayer market price. They will also start tournaments for yugioh (meta and goat format) and Pokémon tournaments as well. Definitely worth the visit would recommend to anyone looking for a new and friendly TCG card shop!

I am a newbie to the TCG universe and I always go in to just see what they have for inventory. When I say Tubbys has cares about the customer, I really mean it. Whenever I go into Tubbys they always make the customer first and the money second. Businesses need to make money, but the guys at Tubbys care more about getting the customer what they want rather then upsell to make more money. I go to a lot of local card shops and Tubbys always makes me feel like they arent trying to make money off of me. They truly care about the customer and will always give them my business.
