This past week I went on my fourth shelling excursion with Treasure Seekers. It is my absolute favorite thing to do while visiting Florida. I went on the 4 hour tour with shell guide Caitlin (and Captain Jim if I remember correctly). Both were so nice and accommodating. Caitlin was very knowledgeable and answered lots of questions that I had on differentiating between similar shells. She gave helpful tips on where to look for certain shells and celebrated in my successes when I found some uncommon shells. I highly recommend using this company if you’re obsessed with shelling like myself (or even if you just want to take a nice boat trip out to the 10,000 islands). It’s so peaceful and fun! Take advantage of the free shuttle too, it’s a nice perk. See you next time Treasure Seekers!

I had a fantastic shelling trip with Treasure Seekers yesterday. The guides were fantastic. Josie was incredibly knowledgeable and helped me find shells I really like. Josie was definitely an expert. Dylan was terrific as boat captain making sure guests were safe and he also shared his knowledge of the 10,000 Islands waterways. A five star rating does not come close to how great the trip was.

I have been on this tour twice. Once with the previous owners and Once this past October with Captain Richard and shell guide, Debbie. Both are fantastic people. Debbie asked what I was looking to bring home and I told her the horse conch. I have always dreamed about having one. The very next step I took, I found one in about waist deep water! Debbie helped me pick it out from underneath a log! I was so happy! I found a few that day as well as several others that I didn't have in my collection! Debbie kept my family and I hydrated and kept a close eye on us, which I appreciated greatly! The islands are absolutely beautiful and they always make sure you leave with what you came for! The boat is beautiful as well! A very comfortable ride! Thank you for an amazing time! I can't wait to come back and bring more family to experience this amazing tour!

We were taken to two islands by our friendly knowledgeable Captain Richard. He made sure we were safe and comfortable, he helped us on and off the boat and stayed with our boat while we went around the islands. Our guide was Hannah, she was Amazing! She went above and beyond to find us shells, teach us about different shells and sea animals… we learned a lot and had a great time finding shells.

I was a little disappointed this time. I have been on four other trips with this company, and this was probably the worst. The tour guides usually walk around with you, engaging in conversations, teaching you about the island or shells. They made sure you were hydrated or needed anything. This trip, they just plopped you on the island, told you about a 27.00 hamburger from the food boat, and left ya for six hours

Treasure Seekers Shell Tours AMAZING! I had a fabulous day out exploring the islands. Just what the doctor ordered! Beautiful day with some wonderful folks! With Ms. Caitlin and Ms Debbie as guides and Captain Jim at the helm you cannot go wrong! David always takes superb care of clients, and I so appreciate the effort! This was such a wonderful company. I will book with them every time I’m in Florida. The meeting spot was easy to find. Captain Jim was super nice and very accommodating. The ride over to the island was beautiful. Katlyn was out guide on the island. She was amazing. She was so knowledgeable about different shells and shared not only her knowledge but also taught me how to slow down and perfect my skills at seeking. It was the fastest 4 hours. I brought a giant bin and wished I had a bigger bucket. The finds were so great. I can’t wait to return to Florida. This was a trip of a lifetime. Loved every minute of it. Had a great 4-hour shelling trip with Treasure Seekers on Mar 1. Our guide Debbie helped us locate and identify the many shells we saw - and collected. There were 6 in our party. All of us came home happy. A first for me!... I found a beautiful alphabet cone in perfect condition. We even saw dolphins on our way out and back...a special bonus! Boat caption Richard, got us close to shore and safely on and off the boat. It was a great day! Highly recommend the trip. Only problem? Time went by too quickly 🙂
