Was really looking forward to staying here. The resort is very nice as are the rooms, pool, etc. (Pillows are a bit uncomfortable)
Upon arriving to the valet, you're greeted and bags are whisked away before you can say anything. Your told your bags will be taken to your room. Checking in was a little disappointing with one desk clerk and at least 2 or 3 other staff members standing around offering their assistance to anything but checking you in. It was 230p and had to wait about 30 min for a room which is fine. Finally at the room and no bags, waited 30 min and still nothing. Called down and they say any minute. Finally I just went downstairs and made them get the bags for me and took them up myself.
The concierge did get us a seat at the bar for dinner at CW Prime and that was appreciated. Good food albeit pricey but that's expected. I like the center bar feel and the Oshen bar out back had great sushi.
The staff for the most part were nice and would help if you asked but guess I expected more or at least recognition as a Marriott Titanium member and offer or explanation of any of the amenities available to you at this property. I get it that the St Regis name can likely stand alone but then why become part of the program. I had to ask several people with totally different answers . No upgrade, no late checkout, No acknowledgement. Upon checkout, no asking how my stay was and even had to make sure my breakfast was removed as promised (it wasnt). For the normal price point, I wont be back. Had better experiences at the Ritz-Carlton and similar higher end properties.

The St. Regis at Longboat Key is absolutely stunningâa much-needed addition to the island. Unlike other resorts in the area, this one is truly grand, with brand-new construction and top-tier luxury.
From the moment you arrive, the service is impeccable. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating, making you feel welcome right away. The resort features beautiful pools, including an amazing lazy river, which adds to the relaxing atmosphere.
The dining options are excellent, with high-quality food at every restaurant, plus a fantastic coffee shop offering fresh pastries and more. The rooms and bathrooms are elegant and well-designed, adding to the overall luxurious experience.
It was also a great experience for our son. The resort has two beautiful Aldabra tortoises from the Seychelles, and guests can learn about them and take photos. Another highlight is the snorkeling area, where you can see rays and tropical fish in an open-air aquarium setting. We didnât try it this time since it was a bit chilly, but itâs definitely on our list for next time!
In the evenings, the atmosphere was just as special. There was a pianist playing in the grand lobby bar area, creating an elegant ambiance. On Saturday night, they also had a fun live band.
Everythingâthe service, the food, the amenities, and the beautifully maintained groundsâwas exceptional. Highly recommend this resort for a top-notch stay!

From the moment we arrived at The St. Regis, every detail of our stay was pure perfectionâbut the highlight was undoubtedly the spa. The level of relaxation and luxury here is unmatched. The treatments were exceptional, the facilities pristine, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure a world-class experience.
A special mention to Lorna Kirwan, Sales and Marketing Director, whose impeccable attention to detail and personalized approach made our visit truly unforgettable. She went out of her way to ensure everything exceeded expectations, making us feel like VIP guests from start to finish. Her dedication to excellence is a testament to the St. Regis brand.
If youâre looking for the ultimate spa retreat with five-star service, look no further. We canât wait to return!

âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸ 5/5 â Exceptional Stay at St. Regis Longboat Key!
Our experience at St. Regis Longboat Key was truly unforgettable. From the stunning beachfront location to the impeccable service, everything exceeded our expectations.
The staff made our stay extra special: Tammie led an incredible Under the Sea Experience with stingrays, Tim (concierge) ensured seamless bookings and follow-ups, and Frazier gave us a fantastic resort tour. John (spa therapist) provided an amazing massage, while Javi (Aura waiter) was friendly and attentive. The valet team was quick and welcoming.
The resort itself is breathtakingâmultiple pools, a lazy river, and top-tier beach service made relaxation effortless. Live music, a champagne ceremony, and excellent housekeeping added to the luxury.
We highly recommend St. Regis Longboat Key and canât wait to return!

Beautiful hotel with modern touches that really improve your stay, such as using virtual call buttons for everything from a drink by the beach to room service removal. The rooms are beautifully designed and decorated. Yes, there were a few growing pains because itâs new with staff not being completely well versed in every detail about the hotel. But honestly, their kindness and enthusiasm in getting me the answers I was looking for was enough for me. I was very impressed and canât wait to come back!

The St. Regis is an impeccably designed hotel that exudes elegance and sophistication in every detail. From the moment you step inside, itâs clear that the architecture and decor have been crafted with an exceptional eye for luxury and style. The staff is absolutely spectacularâattentive, professional, and always anticipating guestsâ needs with flawless execution.
Every amenity is top-tier, making it difficult to imagine another hotel that could surpass the experience. The pool and cabana area, in particular, is a standout feature, offering the perfect combination of relaxation and indulgence. Whether youâre looking for impeccable service, stunning surroundings, or a world-class stay, The St. Regis delivers on all fronts. Highly recommended!

As a loyal Marriott Bonvoy customer, this review comes with the hope that St. Regis Longboat Key will improveâbecause if they do, we wouldnât mind becoming regulars.
The property itself is beautiful, and the location is fantastic, but thatâs where the praise ends. Service is nowhere near the value of whatâs charged. Some staffs and even some guests carry a pretentious attitude, making the experience feel anything but welcoming. Funny enough, once they realized we were Ambassador Elite, the sudden âthoughtfulnessâ kicked inâagendas, guides, and a stream of fake compliments. A real VIP experience, right?
But letâs talk about what really mattersâfor close to over $2,000 per night, this level of service is unacceptable.
⢠No 24/7 in-room diningâa basic expectation at this price point.
⢠Spa is constantly booked, often by non-hotel guests, making it nearly impossible for actual paying guests to enjoy.
⢠General service is inconsistent and lacks the true luxury touch youâd expect from a St. Regis.
And donât just take my word for itâa quick look at the reviews on Marriott.com shows similar complaints. If youâre looking for true five-star service, skip this and go to the Ritz-Carlton Sarasota, where youâll get luxury AND impeccable hospitality at a better price.
St. Regis Longboat Key has potential, but until they fix these glaring issues, itâs simply not worth it.

I will preface this review by stating we did not actually spend the night at this hotel (weâre locals) however, we do come every once in a while to enjoy a lunch and drink here. When you donât have a reservation here, you're not allowed to use the hotel premises (pool, jacuzzi, cabanas) and we understand that.
Today, we inquired at the guard gate to ask if weâre allowed to spend some time on the beach as we will be spending money here on drinks and food. The guard said yes, you just will have to check in with the beach personnel at the white hut. So we did that. We spent about 1 hour here. We then proceeded to order food and beverage service by scanning the QR code. This is when things went completely sour.
Darren, the waiter came over to us and greeted us. He took our order and was very pleasant at first. He then asked for a room number and we told him weâre just guests and weâre not staying the night. He completely switched on us and said I will have to call security to get you removed from
This beach back to the monkey bar. No pun intended. Shortly after, a taller African gentleman came over and told he we need to pack up and leave even after we received the ok from the front guard before entering the property. The security guard said the guard house gentleman was new and we are not permitted to stay on the beach after purchasing drinks and food. He also proceeded to tell us that this is a very high end hotel with high end clients and we essentially donât belong here. I am a Marriott member and stay at many of their resorts. I am appalled by the way we were treated and followed out of this resort like dogs. It was a very windy day and hardly anyone was on the beach. He couldâve politely stated that weâre not supposed to be there so we know for next time but he stayed at our area until we left and followed us to the lobby. What is ultimately upsetting is we got treated the way we did AFTER trying to purchase food and beverages. If we did not hit the service button, none of this wouldâve happened.
