The food there was amazing. The service great and very nice. It is out of the main Sonora crowd so when we got there in the late morning there weren't many people (however by the time we left it was picking up). The portions were great! And the dessert - donuts with ice cream and caramel - just mouth watering! Definitely worth stopping by!

My wife thought this my be a good place for her birthday dinner, we were visiting from out of town and basically she threw a dart at Google she had a salad and that's pretty hard to mess up I on the other hand had a bowl of clam chowder, yeah in the gold country. Basically seemed like any type of can or bag institute type.
The other problem is that was brought out just moments before my entree. I went with the spaghetti and meatballs, the marinara was watery and more like the juices from canned tomatoes with some Italian spices, but what's worse was the meet balls while relatively tender were cold. Like we made them ahead of time refrigerated them pull them as needed, unfortunately for me there all 3 cool in the middle. I let our waitress know and she was going to heat everything, I told her no I'd like nothing else. Instead of sending over a manger she brought the check and said no rush whe you're ready. That was the food. The server, seemed more interested in the locals and that days events, didn't get a welcomed feeling at all but the 4 tables around us, as thought she hadn't seen them in years friendly and personable. The atmosphere, a huge building reminiscent of a banquet hall. Could use a really good cleaning, sheetrock repairs and paint would help.
I guess if the locals are happy with run of the mill boring then great

This time Up On The Plate at The Peppery Sonora ca, was the California burger. Not too much to go on about. Burger was fair. Wait staff was great. Ample parking.

A local told me to try the restaurant because she was a regular. The service we received from Jessica R was 5 star. The food was the best. I am going to eat there every time I am in town. I am always going to request Jessica R for my server. This place did not disappoint.

I got a savage Pastrami Pretzel Burger and it was amazing. The fries were cooked well, the tri tip was tender (though the bbq sauce was too sweet for my tastes). The Jalapeno poppers were fun, super crispy with nice spice. Would definitely go back. Special shout out to our server Delanie, she was awesome.

We try a new place to eat every month. The food here was outstanding. Wich is good because we drove 11/2hrs to get here. We ordered about 4:45 lucky for me the prime rib was finished. Menu says not until 5pm. My son had the Philly cheese. My wife fish & chips. We had jalapeño poppers and calamari for appetizers. Every item was delicious. The waitress was great. She never wrote anything down and everything was right.i wish I'd asked her name. I have no idea of where the low reviews come from our experience was well worth the 3hr round trip.

the presentation was there but empty. yes, the burger was hand pressed thick juicy but flavorless. heaping serving of garlic fries - so bland. I'm sorry, $2 for a clove of chopped garlic on top of fries not cooked to fragrant is a crime. my grandmother, who used to be a sous-chef in her prime, commented that the only thing good was her glass of water.

The food here was very good!! I ordered shrimp tacos and they came with battered shrimp, cabbage, tomato, cilantro and a chipotle sauce. My husband ordered the mushroom burger and enjoyed his food as well. Very tasty food. I would definitely come back!
