Consistently...BEAUTIFUL...POWERFUL...WONDERFUL...AND UPLIFTING WORKS OF ART AND COMMUNITY HERE!

Thankfully they have free community events as well as expensive fancy events and neither is lacking quality or professionalism.

The team there is passionate and poised, and always welcoming more diversity, inclusion, innovation, amd experimentation in their programming so get READY for a unique performance!

*Parking is surprising $10 or street parking around, usually free on Figueroa and 1st area if you're ok for a walk, they do have valet I believe as well but not sure about where, and also plenty of outside seating to enjoy fresh air and hanging out with your friends while you wait for your show.

*Au Lac DTLA is a perfect pairing for a bit to eat before/after a show (close at 9pm) but tell them Sean sent ya whenever you go and I will get extra hugs when I go there. I hosted an opem mic there and love promoting yheor food, heart and lovely atmosphere! They are just opposite the Music Center block diagonally and walking distance. Park for both experiences if you like!

*Also, Grand Performances are happening weekly in the summer if you want to enjoy that experience as well and park all together. (Double check the hours for leaving your car there in the eve, and its a longer walk to the grand perf area!)

I have recently had the misfortune of getting caught up in a Government genocide whereby friends murdered and after 9 years i wound up Homeless spending all to bring justice for Jesus. I work full time Ministry and just cannot find a welcoming place due to anti homeless policy. It is a grave injustice bc I have been through so much and would never dream of hurting anyone but I am literally treated like the old South treated black people not wanted at most places this one included. I await my Paycheck and do all I can to be a Voice for the voiceless but these folks are bigots big time and I know our Father in Heaven would not approve. Ie., They had a Security officer who BTW I am friends with chase me down and he embarrassed could not even look at me. They had him do this twice. I did not further add to his plight. He is afraid to even speak to me now? So sad the Music Centers bigotry against the HOMELESS. Ty Jesus and Amen ๐Ÿ™.โ™กโ™กโ™ก

The Music Center is a collection of performance venues, including the Ahmanson Theatre, the Mark Taper Forum (a theater), and the Dorothy Chandler Pavillion, the home of the Los Angeles Ooera company. The three buildings are grouped around a large, recently renovated plaza, adorned by a fountain, and with great views over Grand Park toward the City Hall tower. The opera and the theatres have something to offer for anyone's musical or thespian tastes. I attend performances at all three venues and, usually, leave very pleased with the quality of the performances.

Beautiful place with amazing views of down town Los Angeles. Great artists took the stage there. Wonderful music! Unfortunately it is closed due to corona virus and all performances are canceled. That building looks great at night time and during the day. Highly recommended to visit it at least once. Hope one day it will open its doors again and welcome artists and spectators.

Show itself was AWESOME, parking , on a Saturday, was great, but, there were a couple of downfalls ...
1) as mobility challenged seniors, working elevators to the upper seating upon arrival would have been welcome;
A NO EXCESSIVE PERFUME/COLOGNE rule beeds to be in force; on both sides of us, attendees were drenched in such, and breathing was an issue

A revitalized Music Center Plaza is truly the heart of the performing arts Center in downtown Los Angeles. Right between the Walt Disney concert Hall to it south, the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, the mark tapper to the north hand the colburn School of Music to the east this is a must-see for every visitor. if you live in Los Angeles you have no excuse not to have come here. Christmastime is an especially Magic time to visit.
