The Comic Strip

The folks here are genuine and rad. It's more than just a place to shop for your favorite reads—it's a goshdarn fixture. Inclusive and welcoming, they do a lot for the local community in so many ways. Taking my kid here and watching their excitement for reading grow is the best. Hearing them talk about their favorite series and getting personal recommendations from staff who remember what they like is something special. Also they have lava lamps [? of various bits of treasure I’ve gotten from there]

Legit the most welcoming, kind place I've ever had the pleasure of getting to know. I wouldn't know half of what I do about comics without them. Lots of love in this place, and a great inventory for all your needs. Couldn't recommend them enough!

Very knowledgeable staff, always warm and inviting. A wide selection of comics and books across most eras, and if you can’t find it there then Justin knows where you can—if he hasn’t already ordered it for you! I love coming here, sometimes just to be in an accepting environment. ?

Good folks work here. In addition to friendly service, they regularly raise funds and awareness for local agencies like Turning Point and Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter.

There's this person there who's way too into Senshi from Delicious in Dungeon. It's like, almost too much. Like this one time I went in there and they insisted that I call them Senshi. I was like no, I don't want to do that. They were like yeah you have to. I didn't do it anyway. The vibes got weird after that.
