The folks here are genuine and rad. It's more than just a place to shop for your favorite reads—it's a goshdarn fixture. Inclusive and welcoming, they do a lot for the local community in so many ways.

Taking my kid here and watching their excitement for reading grow is the best. Hearing them talk about their favorite series and getting personal recommendations from staff who remember what they like is something special.

Also they have lava lamps

[? of various bits of treasure I’ve gotten from there]

Legit the most welcoming, kind place I've ever had the pleasure of getting to know. I wouldn't know half of what I do about comics without them.

Lots of love in this place, and a great inventory for all your needs. Couldn't recommend them enough!

Very knowledgeable staff, always warm and inviting. A wide selection of comics and books across most eras, and if you can’t find it there then Justin knows where you can—if he hasn’t already ordered it for you! I love coming here, sometimes just to be in an accepting environment. ?

After Greg left, it's like he took all the air and light with him. The place is soulless, I'd rather see it on the ground than sold to a bunch of pretentious neck beards. I came into this place awhile back and had someone with me who was learning disabled and half blind so they couldn't read the passive aggressive sign about the Big Bang Theory on the door and was joking, trying to be friendly the way older people do and got his head bit off about the sign on the door and he absolutely ridiculed him over it. When I explained WHY he didn't see/ couldn't read the sign, no apology or even any remorse. I even got an eye roll! I've never seen someone treat a disabled person that way because of their disability and if someone told me this happened to them, I'm not sure I would even believe people like this exist. Apparently, they do! If you don't mind mistreatment of people who are disabled, this is the place to give your business. I can't believe the place is still in business with the way they treat potential costumers. Whether someone can see/read isn't relevant because their money spends the same as anyone else's! Not only did you lose a life time customer but I tell EVERYONE I have an opportunity to tell about my experience in this place. And I've NEVER left a business a review like this.

Good folks work here. In addition to friendly service, they regularly raise funds and awareness for local agencies like Turning Point and Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter.

There's this person there who's way too into Senshi from Delicious in Dungeon. It's like, almost too much. Like this one time I went in there and they insisted that I call them Senshi. I was like no, I don't want to do that. They were like yeah you have to. I didn't do it anyway. The vibes got weird after that.
