Longboat key is amazing. Either side of the island was pretty cool. Water wasn't warm but was manageable. Kids had a great time skimboarding and shell finding

This place is a hidden Gem, Checking in was a breeze, Sue is very friendly gave me a bunch of recommendations for restaurants. My room was so quaint & nice, very clean! I was able to enjoy & unwind on the patio & watch the waves crash the white sandy beach. I even saw some giant bunny rabbits & dolphins. Being able to sleep listening to the waves was so relaxing. I loved waking up the an amazing sunrise sure gives a person a whole new meaning to Rise & Shine.

The views are spectacular! The beach is beautiful and the convenience of the ocean makes it easy to relax. The location is 15-20 minutes from downtown making it convenient to go out and enjoy a night on the town. Rooms are nice, but the beds are small and placed in a confined space. Overall, we had a great stay. I highly recommend staying here!

Me & my wife spent a mini vacation for our anniversary at The Beach & it certainly didn’t disappoint! From the moment we checked in until
We checked out we were satisfied! The woman at the front desk let us check in a bit early so we could go down & enjoy the beach for a few hours! The beach was about 30 steps from our room it was a beautiful pathway & the resort had lounge chairs & umbrellas down on the beach for your convenience. We enjoyed dinner @ Michaels on East in Sarasota which was about 15-20 mins away from the resort (highly recommend, bring your wallet)

This place was a hidden gem tucked in the middle of longboat key! Very peaceful & quiet & we will certainly be back!

Very pricey, but second floor room has great beach and sunset views. I walk the beach a lot, and this one was pretty good,with good walking sand and not too many people or shells. ||Unit was fairly old, patio doors and screens barely worked, uncomfortable sofa and kitchen chairs tough to tolerate without extra cushions. It needs a good cleaning, as dust was accumulated on top of the fridge and under all furniture. ||The promised beach lounge chairs and umbrellas were the worst I’ve ever had in six or so Florida stays. Over half of the lounges disappeared mid week for restrapping and never reappeared, not even the next week. One couple hosting six others from off-property “reserved” four lounges thereafter, leaving only two for the other 12 units. The lounges left were somewhat saggy. The umbrellas were worse than ones I’d use in a sandbox at home, with only 3 or so poles to sink them onto the sand. The poles did not hold in sand. However, the property teases you with four other poles that corkscrewed into the sand, but would not hold the flimsy umbrellas due to differing pole diameters. ||Don’t depend on any cleaning or room assistance, except replacement towels and linens if you go ask for them and are lucky to find them in stock. If you want to remake your bed or clean the tub, go ahead, but they’ll charge for that or any other “mid-stay” service during your stay, as it’s not included in the $400 mandatory cleaning charge and admin fees. At least the unit had a broom and dustpan to daily sweep up the dust and sand that accumulates on the floors. ||For $400+ per night, I expected something better than just a good view and five minutes from room to beach.

We stayed in unit 221 in March 2023. Overall, we thought the place was overpriced because it wasn’t as comfortable, modern, or clean as it should have been. Some things were fine (the central air and the bathrooms) and many just weren’t up to par (stuffing and springs falling out of the one LR chair, none of the TVs has a decent picture (no HD?), kitchen stove has non-working burners and displays worn off, kitchen equipment is unpredictable - no potholders, for example). The balcony is half the size of the others on the 2nd floor, the on-site office was never staffed when we were there and the rental agent answered one but not the other of our emails, and the “complimentary” beach chairs, shared by all and not set aside for each unit, were broken and too few. We have rented at other places on this beautiful beach and never paid as much for as little.
