This is cool little comic and game store. First time visiting here for me and came on a Sunday afternoon. It was packed with 35-40 people playing Magic the Gathering. It was great to see so many folks having fun and it lent to an atmosphere of good energy. The staff knows exactly what products to stock on the shelves and are clearly gamers themselves. There are rare collectibles and TTRPG items not often seen on shelves. Prices are like most local comic/game stores (MSRP). If you've not been here I recommend a visit.

Called night before to get pricing in product that would be released next day. Was told the amount. Go in following day and it was 2x more than I was told. Definitely misleading and waste of time driving after I had asked ti make sure. Pretty disappointed.

I have been going here since before the new owners took over it is not comic command center as that place does no longer exist the vibe for magic the gathering is awesome in my eyes the best in Sacramento the selection of cards available is great as well. The staff are helpful they have a event called commander league that they host it has 52 players consistently it is a awesome store to hang out and just play games.

Im writing this review in hopes there will be a better implementation of prices at this store. I had very high hopes this card shop would be better the the previous shop and not try to sell over market but I was wrong. I was told by someone in the shop (won't say names) that Pokémon surging sparks booster boxes will be restocking and I asked at what price I was told $150-$160 and to come back when the shipment comes. Well I came back and was met with a price tag of $200 i was very confused and was told "thats market you want that pika s.i.r right " (I'm a sealed collector) so to my understand how market works i asked to see the Pokémon stellar crown booster box current market is $105 they have it marked at $130. I understand business gotta make a profit but this is supposed to be my local shop I'm just overall disappointed and hope going forward they do whats right and not just trying and make a small profit.
Please be consistent it doesn't make since why one item is at current and the other you can't make any adjustments if your following "market" be consistent

Sweet comic shop | card & game vibe in here. Tons of tables for magic and Pokémon game play. Lot of high end cards in the glass display. Lots of runs on back issue comics.

Lot of teenage mutant ninja turtle, Godzilla, transformers, spawn, collectibles, funko pops - the works !

I recommend 👌

Skyscraper Comics will never make it long if the owner keeps doing what he is doing and closing shop on a holiday when the new owner took shop 5 months ago.

I've been in this store and the store looked amazing at their new opening but grew into an unkept place so I questioned the praised reviews.

I've also seen the owner who mostly shows up to play card games while the guy behind the counter does all the work and greetings.

So be advised, take your own risk, and you know what I'm talking about when you get there.
