Giving it 5 stars because my husband loved it and said he’d be here often if we lived close by. lol Visiting from out of town though so we didn’t find much, but he did enjoy walking around and seeing all the bits and pieces available. Me? I found 2 pairs of scissors since mine seem to go missing because nobody but me puts them back lol

Been going here my whole life (since the Fairbanks incarnation). It’s a great place to get the bits and pieces I can’t find elsewhere for any kind of project. I appreciate that much of the inventory is salvaged or rescued from something else. It’s also a great place to get ideas or to find better prices. And I like that I can look at and touch items before buying them which I can only do online after the fact.

Still my favorite store to this very day, it took me a few minutes to find it (they moved from Fairbanks, obviously). This is not a hardware store, a "RadioShack", or even an antiques store - this is an EVERYTHING store...and I mean EVERYTHING. There's so much cool, left field, "good old days" stuff in here, including but not limited to every last piece of electronics you think of (down to the exact diode) that pretty much anyone could easily get lost for hours and hours just wandering around. Name another store that you can walk into, buy some capacitors AND a skateboard, and ride home.

To put it bluntly: Skycraft was, and still is, the most difficult store to leave. Once you set foot in there, you'll see exactly what I mean.

I cannot think of a single negative thing to say about Skycraft. This is the only store you need. Promise.

It's a special and wonderful place for any aficionado of electric and electronics...one of a kind place with something for everyone in the area...or just one browsing for things... The staff is friendly and very helpful.

Love love love Skycraft. They have been here forever, but are finally moving soon! For any custom project that needs some metal and or wiring parts, they are here. Also wire is cheaper here than Home Depot, with more variety. This is your brick and mortar electronics shop.
