Beautiful new hotel. Very clean, modern amenities. Staff is very friendly and helpful. While the slot area is small compared to Tampa, there is a nice variety, pays well and not very smokey at all. Will definitely return. Recommend very highly. Please heat the pool!

One Star – Not Worth the Drive or the Price

My recent weekend stay at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Brighton Bay was incredibly disappointing. While the hotel is brand new and the rooms were clean, nearly every other part of the experience fell flat.

The food at both EE-TO-LEET-KE Grill and Josiah’s Steakhouse was overpriced and bland. My wife reserved us a dinner at Josiah’s, and what we received was far from what we expected. The garlic mashed potatoes had no garlic—just plain mashed potatoes. My wife’s asparagus was soggy and thrown into a bowl without care (see photo). For a steakhouse, the quality and presentation were underwhelming. The only highlight of the entire weekend was a latte from Constant Grind.

The casino itself is tiny. You can walk the entire gaming floor in under 10 minutes. With all the land they have, it’s surprising how small they made the space. They had only four Phoenix Link machines—one of the most popular slot games nationwide. Very disappointing for a Hard Rock property.

Now for my biggest frustration: I had originally booked a comp stay at Hard Rock Bristol in Virginia by mistake. Realizing it before leaving, I canceled that reservation and booked Brighton Bay instead. When I arrived, I explained the honest error to the front desk and was told it might be possible to honor the comp depending on how I played that weekend. By checkout, the front desk had no notes, claimed they couldn’t help, and handed me a pamphlet with an 800 number. I called, only to be told I needed to speak to a host—after I had already left and was on the road home. So, despite spending thousands at Hard Rock properties, they couldn’t honor a $400 stay because of their own lack of communication.

This hotel may be new, but with poor food, poor communication, and poor customer service, it’s hard to see it thriving long-term unless major changes are made. Locals might be fine with it, but for anyone traveling more than two hours, it’s just not worth it. I will not be returning, and I would not recommend this location to others.

What an excellent addition they made with the new resort. It is so nice, quiet, clean and everyone is extremely friendly. It is so easy to get to and all of the dining has been great. Not to mention, the casino was definitely in my favor, always seems to be when I come here. Highly recommend.

Was there for the fiasco of the Super bingo session on 3/16/25. Drove out there the previous weekend to buy-in because the email and website said had to pay in person by 3/13 or when sold out. So I made the drive twice only to find they were still selling spots that day. Gave up a shift of overtime at work for the chance to win, Got there early, enjoyed a decent meal (Josiah at the old location was better), played some slots, and waited for the bingo to start. The session started a few minutes late and had constant issues. We never even finished the early bird games. They said network or internet issues depending on the employee. Over 2 hours later they finally cancelled the session, but you had to wait to get your money back first for cards bought on the floor, then in a line with over 300 other people for the buy-in money (at first only 2 cashiers, then up to 4, but kept having to pause to get money to issue the refunds). No other compensation for the gas, drive time, 3-5 hours waiting. They just said they didn't know.
Overall very frustrating and disappointing experience.
The only positive was that all of the staff I saw stayed calm, positive, and apologetic. Totally beyond their control, but a very disappointing experience.

Spent a couple nights. Restaurant service was below expectations. Not many table games. Left a ring in my room and called as I was on the way home…no answer at security for lost and found and no answer at front desk. No reply after “allow 72 hours for a response”. Check your room before leaving because anything left behind will not be reported. They are entitled to what is left behind, I assume. Auto lights in the bathroom turned off while in the shower which could be dangerous. They should consider lengthening the time. Once the door fogged up the sensor did not pick up enough movement. Room was clean with only the window being unfinished, room 223, was missing part of a cover on the window exposing fasteners… and no strike plate on the door frame making it less secure.
Would most likely not return because of the lack of response on the ring I forgot…they could have responded by phone or email and chose neither. Other than the ring, clean room and friendly staff, and did go positive on slots. To a potential guest reading this, good luck at the tables/slots and have fun! And check your room before leaving.

It's very small, and not much to do except gamble. Nothing around unless you drive a ways. But bingo was fun, service was great a s the rooms were clean and nice. Didn't get to check in until 6 so that part was a little annoying. But overall it was good.

Stayed at the hotel for 1 night and I have to say they did a beautiful job on the new hotel. My room was amazing, bed was very comfortable. Staff is wonderful. I was helped by Gabby and Kesley at the front desk, they were very helpful and very welcoming from the minute I walked in. Casino is spacious with a good selection of games, although they were missing some of my favorites. I will say it’s very cold in the casino and if you plan to go, bring a jacket. My only complaint is the pizza place is pretty bad. Ordered pizza twice during my stay and got a slice of pizza from a warming oven that was hard and cold. Sent it back and got a fresh slice of pizza, but the attitude from the young lady who worked there was terrible. The other quick dining option “Constant Grind” wasn’t serving food because they were too backed up on orders. But, being a new place, new staff, It’s understandable. I love this place and will be back!

Nice casino resort just west of Okeechobee. They have a bowling alley, a swimming pool, restaurants on site and many different slot machines and table games. The casino floor was very clean as well as the restrooms. I have a house nearby on Lake Placid so I'll be back often! 🎰
