The theater itself is really beautiful. However, the movie selection is mediocre, and the menu's food is oK. I guess we're still in mourning for the Albany Twin theater's closure, along with a number of other excellent Berkeley theaters 😞. Oakland is home to the last decent movie theaters.

I shall never return to this theatre. I am sure the staff worked very hard but management was poor. First they don't have a on-call area for people who had purchased tickets on-line to just pick up tickets and enter. So everyone had to line up and it was very slow. They did not dim the lights when the show had started. The exit door was left open for food service, leaving a light and noise when the show was on. The door on the left has a squeaking sound and it slammed. Tonight was a full house and the room was much too warm and stuffy. Even after I informed staff during intermission, no change.

With the movie exodus on Shattuck complete its great to have two theaters in walking distance. This one just got a covid makeover, big comfortable seats with tables for food and drinks. Beer, wine and full kitchen. Would return to see another film.

Remember when rocking seats were the new theater tech? The Cerrito Rialto takes you back to those heady days while providing top box office releases on two cozy screens, in-theater dining, bar drinks, a feeling of sophistication, and plenty of retro movie showings of past blockbusters. Bonus for bathrooms just 20 ft outside the screenroom 😀We had a satisfying popcorn family outing here.

Great small business. They have a great menu and have brought back the good pizza. Great theater to bring kids. The temperature is good instead too.

Unfortunately, a bad experience here. The attendant was unnecessarily sassy and a bit rude, the line to get tickets AND food (no separate lines?) was so long we missed the first 10 minutes of our movie. Additionally, besides the theater being packed, the seating arrangement was terrible: there were many seats that were either too far to the right or left of the screen to provide a comfortable viewing angle, and all the seats were way too low--all for a screen that was way too small for the number of seats in the theater. In all, deeply disappointing. I should've stayed home.

Was my favorite theater, until last night.
-Mainly b/c food and drinks may be ordered and enjoyed during the movie, plus its a good location.
Spent +$100 taking a couple of friends see Dune.
Great movie but the food had issues.
One of the chicken tenders was still frozen at the end so I decided to leave the rest of the meal and return it at the end of the show (no way I was missing 5-10 min. of Dune), the chicken tender was literally still cold as ice at one end and remained that way until after the show was over.
I talked to the manager and he said that he refunded meals all the time, but since I didn't bring it up immediately he could not do it. The chicken was STILL icey-cold to the touch, and he refused.
I didn't mention to him that the quesadilla was too salty to eat, threw it out.
Someone was at the counter complaining about the exact same issue with their food right before me.
My friend told him he was surprised he didn't at least offer a credit for something free in the future, while I was in the bathroom, but this kid did not care. This manager clearly has no concern about the customer from our interaction.
