Not as Advertised, Careful Consideration Required! It is important that I share my experience as we went a long way with RedTeam to replace a software we were currently using. We paid a substantial amount for setup and implementation fees to take on about $5M in projects. After 3-4 months of discovery, we were under the belief this was the correct software based on the responses received to our questions. We were unable to properly implement the software on a project <$2M, we were not able to utilize elements within the program, as they didn't not function as we were told and did not meet our expectations. Take time to review what is presented and compare to your current expectations as ours were not met. We reached out many times for help and a refund of our costs ($14,349.93 CDN) and initially were met with a clear NO, however after some direct discussion months later, RedTeam has decided to refund 50% of our costs and admittedly agreed that our implementation could have been handled differently for a better outcome. Unfortunately, this is not the full outcome we had hoped but better than how we started … with no refund. We have not received anything we paid for and have moved to another CM Software option. RedTeam is click-heavy compared to two (2) others we are actively using. A simple example is adding plans that may have been missed during the proposal or draft stage, its about 10 clicks to go back in status to add the plans then many more to change the status back to be at square one. This could be simple with a couple clicks like I am used to in our current CM software solution. I found this process alone took far too long to correct. Here are a few of the many items we dealt with that remained unresolved until we stepped away. - Program synergy - This is not a single software but a few that are “integrated” together. As a result, they are disjointed with a different software for each function. You may be told this is seamless but look carefully. Example: Plans view and the main software do not talk to each other well; Implication: If the field makes a plan note or change request, it doesn’t always show up to the office team as its actually a different program. Office changes will push to the field but not the other way. This can create a major risk with substantial cost implications. - Customer change - once the opportunity has been rolled into a project the customer cannot be changed except through a work-around. This is critical as the client changes about 80% of the time once the contract is drafted. I was advised the customer cannot change and I would need to create a new project after I've already populated plans, specifications, photos and everything else. RedTeam's response received from their client support: "unfortunately, there's no workaround for changing the customer in a project. The only way is to cancel the project and create a new one with the correct customer." They later provided a work around solution however it creates further challenges related to pulling reports in the future. - PDF attachments output (i.e. contract addendums or terms & conditions) can only be imported in as a picture and placed on another sheet changing the formatting. In the process the branding is lost which is critical for the business. - If you start a base contract and turn that into an estimate then the client decides to add more items on before the contract is finalized, you cannot pull those changes into the estimate. You have to delete the estimate and start over. Bottom line … I must say, the initial conversations requesting help and a refund fell on deaf ears however after an initial review RedTeam was willing to discuss together and did step up to the table with a refund for our group. This software did not function the way we believed it too and we are still very disappointed in the process, costing and overall communication. My encouragement to RedTeam is to continue your development as it’s necessary to pull the program together removing the integrations and making this a single software instead of many.

my company has been using this software for about 2 years. Hands down this is the worst construction project management software I've used. First of all, the budgeting and job cost concept in Redteam does not make sense. Second, there're constant system glitches going on. Their engineer team is forever out of reach, where chatting with online support is the only way to get thing resolved. and it takes MONTHS to get things straighten out. Especially if you have Redteam linked to another app, such as Levelset or QBO, you're in deep trouble cuz the only thing they would do is to push responsibilities to the other App. Save you money and time, avoid this software!
