The first whites only league I've heard about since the 1960s. Paige definitely doesn't want blacks signing up; horrible attitude to a potential baseball player; like she is being bothered by the inquiry.

We had our son play t-ball a couple years ago. He really enjoyed it. After trying other sports and different Pearland leagues, he decided to play coach pitch baseball. I decided to coach a team, too. It has been a great experience! What sets the Dad’s Club Pearland Little League from Shadow Creek Ranch are the administrators and structure.

The administrators help to organize numerous events including the actual games. The way they structure teams with a manager, coach and team mom really helps to get the adults involved and helps to delegate duties. We are half way through the season and the kids have learned a ton and my son is having a BLAST!

I’m going to first start off by saying that yesterday’s game was so unfair. The Umpire called “Outs” when they were clearly safes with our team. I understand that we were visitors; however, these are kids playing and should all be treated equal but apparently they were not. I noticed there is A LOT of favoritism when it comes down to protecting the Pearland Team plain and simple. Here I would like to share about my experience that occurred yesterday which was that my son tossed the bat soon after him batting. Now, keep in mind that many kids from the other team were also tossing the bat in the dugout and for whatever reason “Blue” yelled at my son and called it a game, which is not acceptable. I asked him why he yelled at my son and he simply said “I didn’t yell at your son you’re Silly lady” and smirked. Mind you, all the coaches and parents heard him yelling at him and why else would my son be crying? Even the coach from the Rangers (whom belongs with Pearland) advised him to stop yelling like that at the kids; as he noticed that “Blue” was treating our kids differently. When I asked “Blue” for his name he simply walked away and wouldn’t give me his name. I spoke with “Rodney” (Who I knew he wouldn’t be of NO help since I noticed him being buddy-buddy with the umpire that yelled at my son) Sure enough I filed a complaint with him and he simply said “Your son was not supposed to toss the bat” There was no apologies, no sympathy, simply there was a lot of just pointing the finger at something I already knew and the real issue was never addressed. I then got ahold of “Balt” over the phone and his words were that “he would bring it up to the board in the next meeting and that was all he could do because he wasn’t there and he was the middleman”
I’m really disgusted on how this park treated our kids, I could care less on how I was disrespected but when it comes down to the kids that’s what really bothers and annoys me the most. There was no need to be calling “Outs” when they were clearly “Safes” (which I have on recording) just after coaches talked to the umpires and changed the call, there was no need for “Blue” to be yelling at our kids to make them feel less worthy than the other team. Very disappointing.

Well after 10 years, this will be the first year Papaw Roblyer will not be attending a grandson's ball game at the Pearland Little League Dad's Club. But oh those memories that we have shared during these years. First with Jaron and then Layne, from not knowing where first base was to having both grandson's play in the Little League World Series. Having acutally gone with both grandson's to Williamsport and seeing the Little League World Series, the memories will last for a life time. Tanya and Kevin have dedicated lots of time and efforts and enjoyed every minute/hour/day/week/month and years we have all been there.

It is somewhat sad, but then i look back on all the concession stand meals we have eated there and realize we can still come by and watch and enjoy the games with the same food, except this time we will not have to worry about who won or lost.

Thanks to all the parents and grandparents that have supported Jaron's and Laynes teams and been a part of the Roblyer's lives. It have been a wonderful journey, but now we look forward to watching our grandkids play high school baseball and hopefully on to the next level.

Can't mention Pearland Litte League with thinking about the guy that was always hanging around the park, Danny, thanks for those endliess hours put into the Dad's Club and making sure games were played and all the behind the scene hours he put in for our playing pleasure.

And I have to Thank Don Smith, one of the finest gentlemen and families I have ever been associated with. Seems like our kids were together almost all the time. With Don coaching both Jaron and Layne at the Little League World Series we have been down a few roads. I know the Roblyer's are a better family because of Don.

I played over here my team were visitors the game was so unfair my team was just 10 year olds (major beginners) and on the other hand the pearland kids are experienced in the majors they are taller then us and the pitchers throw insanely fast like 60-70 the umpire always helps them win because they’re pearland people and we’re visitors
