We just moved to Parker county a few months ago and we received our tax appraisal showing it higher than our purchase price. I filed my Tax Protest on Sunday and got a call from the Madison at the Appraisal office the next morning. She was so courteous and entirely understanding of my situation and agreed to lower my appraisal by 30%. In less than 30 minutes she sent me an updated settlement to sign. I can't thank Madison and the Appraisal team enough for making this process as efficient and friendly as it was.

Update: Another year, another positive experience with the professionalism of the entire staff. Not to suggest that I received all that I felt was due in my protest, but the explanation of how the process works and how Parker County arrived at their appraisal was clear and concise.

This was my first experience with the Parker County Appraisal Office, and the “protest process”. I was pleasantly surprised at the ease of using the process, and the courteous and helpful people involved. This was my first year dealing directly with the Parker County Appraisal District. Like many I was set back by the initial valuation on our property. After visiting with them in person, plus two conversations over the phone, I feel that there are good folks working there and satisfied with where things stand now. Professional, efficient and treated fairly. That's all I can ask for and am thankful to say I received all three, which is uncommon nowadays (unfortunately).

The review board provided clear direction on how to file a protest and then was very fast to set up the hearing. During the informal hearing, the materials I provided had been previously reviewed and we were quickly able to get to a resolved settlement, and the formal hearing cancelled. Pleased with how the whole process worked.
