The Osceola County Welcome Center really helped us with our trip to the area. They pointed out several things that we otherwise might have missed. The people here are very friendly and helpful. They also have a great number of displays concerning the history of the area. It is definitely worth a stop.

very informational and interactive content! the only downside was the incredibly rude african american girl up front. we had to ask for the scavenger hunt and she gave us attitude while giving it. we noticed that she treated new people that came in the same way. we didn’t want to ask questions or buy anything from the gift shop because of her bad manners.

What a pleasant surprise! Great museum of the local area. Ample free parking in its own lot. Quality museum displays. I learned a great deal about the history of the area. Many interactive exhibits. Free admission, too! A must stop if you love the area and want to know about its fascinating past. Highly recommended!

Just had a fantastic family outing at the Osceola County Welcome Center and History Museum. Firstly, the outdoor walking trails are a treat. There are two distinct paths, both easy to maneuver, thanks to their concrete and deck-like surfaces. These well-maintained trails offer a serene stroll through nature, making it enjoyable for both young kids and adults alike.

Inside, the museum was an unexpected delight. Immediately noticeable was its cleanliness, a detail that certainly extends to their restrooms as well. After enjoying the outdoors, the museum's air conditioning provided a welcomed cool down. The place is tastefully decorated, featuring a plethora of taxidermy-style fake animals set within full diorama room-size settings – it felt like stepping into various slices of Florida's rich past.

Beyond the aesthetics, the museum does an excellent job of presenting pieces of significant historical importance. It offers a comprehensive look into the region's heritage, from early settler stories to natural history. For a father of two curious daughters, it was enlightening to see them so captivated by the blend of history and nature. If you're in the area, I wholeheartedly recommend a visit!

We visited this welcome ctr during our vacation in FL. We like museums and finding out about the local area.
This welcome ctr did not disappoint. They had a lot of fascinating information about how the area in Osceola County was developed from when the settlers came into the area from Europe.
It took us about 90 minutes or so to look at each exhibit area and read about the settlers and people who were influential in populating this area of FL.
It's a free exhibit, and they also have a small souvenir store there, too.

Small, but powerful museum with very informative and interesting exhibits. Some exhibits change periodically. Nice welcoming staff. We've been there twice because we wanted to see the newest exhibit.
