Our escape team have done quite a few escape rooms and this one is definitely up there with one of our all time favorites. We did the first 2 chapters and all the game masters we had Jo, Antonio and Edzel (sorry if I butchered your name!) were amazing ! They’re all so knowledgeable and really know the rooms well. The rooms are so well made, there’s no question whether you get something right or wrong and it’s just so satisfying to play. We can’t wait to go back and finish the rest of the story ! We even got a cute drawing 🙂

Amazing experience! Only got to play the first 2 chapters but am now awaiting the day we can book the next one because the experience is PHENOMENAL! The actors, the technology, the puzzles, and the atmosphere is absolutely incredible and the narrative story is so compelling!! Not to mention the staff were totally awesome and we got some hilarious laughs, especially when interacting with actors. Everything feels super interactive and interesting and we loved every second of it. From 3 teenagers, this was the most amazing experience. From me personally, the best set of escape rooms I've ever played!!

To call this a simple escape room does it an injustice. This is a full experience. Yes, it resembles an escape room but from the moment you step in, you are living a story. The staff does an amazing job adding personal touches to your journey. It was a friend's birthday and they incorporated that point into the story. Best part, there are no locks in this room. No combinations to unlock. You're constantly doing hands-on activities. Hints are unlimited and delivered in a very interesting way. We did chapters 1 and 2 back to back (highly recommend this if you can do it) and it was a seamless experience from go. We were running, climbing, puzzle solving and even, at one point, altering the room around us via a game.

The sets are amazing. They feel lived in and like they belong to a real person. I felt like I was in a real person's apartment and a real art gallery. It was amazingly realistic and I loved every second of it.

Antonio was our game master and he took great care of us, though really all the staff we met with were kind and amazing. If you get stuck, they are responsive and will help you out. Even if you don't think you're on the wrong track (which my group was a few times) they will step in before you go completely off track.

Only one downside, but your mileage may vary here, there is no clock indicating how much time you have left. For me, I really like to know how much time I have left in a room as it helps me prioritize my work in the room. But that is a very minor complaint in an amazing room. Also, a note to those who scare easily, this story is dark and at times gory. There are live actors who suddenly appear and loud noises that come out of nowhere. Lights go out. No one chases you or tries to come at you, but please be aware if you are someone who startles easily.

We can't wait to do part three and are excited to hear that there will eventually be 12 chapters to play! We are hooked!

Me and my partner had an absolute blast playing chapter 1 and 2, and are eager to get back for chapter 3! The games are so fun and have a very innovative experience. Tons of puzzles we've never seen before at other places with all types of interesting uses of technology. Also a massive massive shout out to Jo, who has hosted our game both times and has been a utter pleasure. The crew at this place is top notch and I hope any escape room players put this spot on their must play list.

✨✨This is by far the best escape room experience I’ve had! We played Chapter 1 and will definitely come back for Chapters 2 and 3. I love how the puzzles are so relevant to the story, and I deeply appreciate the thoughts they put into designing both the story and the experience. The entire experience is well-curated and immersive.

We were hosted by Ken, who was very friendly and helpful, sharing a lot of fun stories about their team and the escape room.

It’s great to see such a passionate group of people and their work, and I’m definitely looking forward to the new chapters they’re going to release!

This is the best escape room in the entire Bay Area. I absolutely love the live actors and the amazing sets for each chapter. I did three chapters and they were all fantastic. Jack ran our chapter three room today and he was a great host. I can’t recommend this place enough. It’s ran by the nicest people.

If you’re an escape room enthusiast, Off the Couch is an absolute must-visit! We recently took on Chapter Three: The Morgue, and it was nothing short of incredible. The atmosphere, puzzles, and immersive experience make this one of the best escape rooms we’ve ever done—and we’ve played over 100 rooms!

What truly sets this place apart, though, is Ken, the manager. He is hands down the most awesome escape room manager we’ve ever met. Not only was he incredibly informative, but he also took the time to break down our performance, highlighting what we did well and where we could improve—something we really appreciated as competitive players. His passion for escape rooms is infectious, and he even gave us fantastic recommendations for other must-visit locations across different cities and states.

It’s clear that Ken speaks highly of the owner and the company, and his enthusiasm shines through in everything he does. Off the Couch has easily become our favorite location, and we highly recommend it to both newcomers and seasoned escape artists. If you’re looking for a top-tier immersive escape experience, this is the place to go!

An incredible, well thought out escape room series with many memorable puzzles that has me excited for what's to come! The immersion makes you feel like you are progressing a story, rather than just solving individual puzzles. We've had 2 game hosts, Jo and Edzel who have been very friendly and helpful throughout our experiences. The hints they offer when we are stuck help us understand the logic to clear challenges so we feel smart for figuring it out! Their toilet paper is also top-tier, so this place leaves me satisfied from head to bottom.
