I did the premium package with Odyssea for my open water diver certification and HIGHLY recommend this company. I was excited to scuba dive but a bit nervous at first. By the end of the certification, I couldn't wait to jump in the water. The small class size with great instructors gave me confidence to dive and be able to really enjoy it. I went on two trips to Catalina in the certification, and seeing the kelp forests and wildlife there is one of the coolest things I have ever experienced. A bonus to the whole experience was spending time on the boat with really cool people who were interested in the same things as me. The program was also incredibly flexible around my schedule which I really appreciated. If you are a new diver in San Diego or Southern California, this is the best company around.

I was very nervous to start my open water certification especially because diving is unlike anything I’ve done before. Odyssea Adventures was very organized from the beginning and made it very simple and easy to start the process. I had different instructors who helped me with my pool dives and open water dives and each of them were fantastic!! Some of the kindest, helpful, and most knowledgeable people I have ever met! I never felt unsafe and constantly had a smile on my face. The Catalina dives were amazing and I totally recommend doing the Gold tier to get multiple opportunities to dive on Catalina. I started with the silver tier but upgraded myself after how much fun the first dive was! Fletcher, Leila, and Craig were the best and always made sure I was having fun and felt comfortable! Everyone I met on my journey was amazing so I couldn’t recommend this company enough!!

I went from being extremely nervous to get in the water to jumping at the chance to get back in! During the dives I felt like I was in good hands and was shown so many amazing creatures. Even when I did feel nervous doing certain skills, they made sure to take it slow and made sure I knew they would be there to help every step of the way. Truly the most positive experience and I only have the best things to say about Odyssea Adventures!!

I’m so glad that I chose to do my Open Water certification with Odyssea Adventures! Captain Fletcher runs an amazing diving company with only the best crew. Instructors Annie and Leila were super fun, knowledgeable, and thorough all throughout my learning. I’m looking forward to going on more dives and furthering my diver education with them. Diving with Odysea gives you a sense of community and allows you to meet some great people. You can feel completely safe all while having fun and joking around. I had the pleasure of having Lila as my guide for the Catalina dive trip which I 10/10 recommend. I love food and in between dives you will be impressed at the feast that the Capt puts out! She was amazing, clear, concise and made sure we knew our dive plan before each and every dive!

Went with Odyssea for a Catalina 3-tank boat dive and it was an amazing experience. They provided transportation which was so essential! My guide Leila was very professional and kind. As I am a newbie diver, she made sure to spend time helping me feel comfortable and debrief after each dive. The boat provided great food and staff were friendly. Totally recommend to anyone who is looking to do a few dives at the beautiful Catalina with one of the best professionals in one day!

Couldn’t recommend Odyssea more! We had the absolute best experience with Fletcher and his instructors Annie and Trevor. My fiance got his open water dive certification and I did the refresher course. Annie, Trevor and Fletcher all had such good pointers and knowledge that we feel set up for immediate success!

Upon our first meeting, we knew we were in the best hands. The crew is so knowledgeable, professional, friendly, outgoing, happy to go above and beyond in everything they do, and just freakin awesome! Fletcher was extremely organized and we felt comfortable the entire process. The pool sessions were straightforward and we were the only class there in a small group. In fact, due to another couple getting sick, my fiance and I were the only ones in our class with Fletcher and Annie! How lucky were we to be able to experience a 1:1 instructing class. All the other classes had 8-10 people… Odyssea has it figured out! And we were able to do night classes which was perfect with our work schedule during the week.

The Catalina trip was unreal! So organized from start to finish. Between the van ride up to Long Beach, the boat process and the dives, everything was absolutely perfect! A unique and diverse boat crew with tons of knowledge on the dive sites! Annie and Fletcher were both leading small groups of us through the dive sites and it was perfect (we got 1:1 guide and instructor led training with Annie)! She taught us with ease, guided us through amazing kelp forests, was sure to point out all of the wildlife for us to see and it was so enjoyable. Stunning dive spots picked, beautiful scenery and the best company! I wouldn’t have wanted to go through this process with anyone else. Whether you’re looking for a refresher, open water cert, advanced courses or just friends to dive with… Odyssea is the BEST! Cant wait to do our advanced cert with them next!

I recently had the pleasure of diving with Odyssey Adventures, led by Fletcher, and I can't recommend them highly enough! From start to finish, the entire process was seamless. The booking process on their website was simple and straightforward, and their communication throughout was excellent, making sure everything was perfectly set up.

My daughter completed her PADI Open Water course with Odyssey over two weekends, diving off Catalina Island in some of the best conditions I’ve ever experienced. Despite having around 20 divers on the boat (big boat), the group was well-managed, and Odyssey handled about eight divers working on different certifications or just enjoying fun dives. The entire operation was highly organized, with knowledgeable staff who ensured everything ran smoothly. They even provided food, drinks, and transportation from San Diego to Long Beach, where we set off for Catalina.

Odyssey Adventures truly delivered a fantastic and safe diving experience. I’ve dived with several companies, but none as well-organized and accommodating as this one. Highly recommended for both beginners and experienced divers alike!

Coolest experience getting my open-water certification with Odyssea. Fletcher the owner and my instructor taught above and beyond. Really incredible experience doing 2 weekends of dives on Catalina Island. They provided transportation, food, and amazing staff to help us all. Will be getting my advanced-certification with them soon!
