GO PRIDE!!! As a parent of MPHS I had 2- children attend and very happy with Mr. Kippers leadership! I've had to bring a couple issues to leadership and Mr. Kipper handled the situation so fast I was very impressed. My daughter graduated loving this school and my son still attends. Friendly staff, safe environment and people that truly care! Fantastic sports!

The true final circle of Dante's Inferno.. This is the worst school that I've ever had the displeasure of wasting my time at. Some of the staff are rude and have bad attitudes, the school is absolutely filthy, the schedule is very inconvenient and all they care about is football and not academics. The environment is just overall terrible concerning there are multiple fights, very rude and pretentious students, the way a LOT of the boys and girls dress, student "activities", and so. It's like a high school in a movie only worse. I Don't recommend coming to this school if you're moving from up north because they could care less about you or your transcripts. The only reason that this gets one star are a select few of the teachers (albeit most of whom won't cope with your outside life and schedule). I wonder why they're unranked.

The school is focused on football, not acedemics. Honestly, if you don't play ball, you won't have anyone. The other day I asked my math teacher for help on the final, most math teachers will stay Tuesday's, the test was wensday and it's the subject I struggle in, he simply replied "I have football practice"
He also will pull the football kids aside and watch film with them not paying attention to our questions. Furthermore, we had a fire drill, and the students were not allowed on the football field due to reseeding; if this was a real fire students' life would be put in danger for what? A football field? Mountain Pointe says they are having Financial issues yet, they can afford new gear, updates to fields for the football team. Listen, Mountain Pointe ranks lowest in the district for colleg readiness, it also ranks lowest in math and English proficiency (about 13% and 15%), below compadre even. The only time kids get scholarships is if they play ball, the kids that get scholarships to USC barely put effort into their academics, which shows the true nature of our school system, our priorities need to be put in check.
I digress,
Overall
My experience here has been awful. In no way has it prepared me for real life.

The women who handle registration are very rude and will give you misinformation. It's best to check with the school district if the information they give you doesn't sound right. They will try to pretend it was an honest mistake.
