"Cute little arcade, the fishing game is the easiest to get tons of tickets on in my experience. $2 per play for the fishing game and landed an average of 75 tickets each time.
Super nice people working there and it was a real fun stop for our young kids after dinner when we were taking a walk around town. Only issue was that you had to pay $1 just for the card to play the games and then another dollar to actually play a game. Card should be free with purchase of credits."

It is worth noting that some visitors have mentioned the cost of the game cards and the games themselves as minor inconveniences. However, the overall positive experience and the enjoyment of the games seem to outweigh these concerns for most patrons.

Lot of games don’t work and there’s no one here to help you when the games eat your money. Most of the games are ticket games not exciting arcade games.

Lousy prizes out of vending machines that are largely depleted.

Go to the boardwalk arcade instead if you want a decent experience.

It's a nice place to have fun with family. At the same time, you lose so much money just because there is no one present there and many of the games have issues. Bowling had no ball. The motor ride game screen will turn off in the middle of the game. Some of the games charge your card but won't start.

Bad experience I had my family come to capitola for a first time visit to the game room in capitola mercantile we bought pizza at pizza my heart and some fish and chips at Zelda’s and white mochas at the coffee shop in the mercantile
6 of us all adults and one child with one very handicapped person in a large wheelchair we were just about to eat and we were told we cannot have 2 tables together it’s policy we separated them a foot or so and manager came back very upset and basically said put table back it’s the rules no exceptions
I guess not for any handicapped person either
no one was around and they weren’t busy there was no reasoning with the manager so we did it and tried to finish our food and games and get our prizes and leave it was so uncomfortable we are in shock to be treated this way from the manager
he said it’s the rules period
nothing is posted anywhere that we could not have 2 little tables together to enjoy ourselves.
Bad experience but made the best of it

This arcade was amazing. Fun games and reasonable prices. It felt like a real gem in Capitola, and I was surprised that more people weren't there! Made me feel like a kid again. There are a couple of claw machine games that are actually somewhat easy to win, which is really rewarding (even if the toy is worth less than what you're paying - part of the fun is feeling like you have some skill.) Some games didn't seem to be working, and you could lose a dollar or two swiping your card on these. But the owners seem responsive, so I am sure there was a way to get money back if you needed to. (I had enough fun that I don't mind losing a couple dollars since it supports this business.)
