This place is absolutely fantastic, one of the true hidden gems Placerville has to offer for anyone missing the “good old days”.

I took my brother here for his 24th birthday and they were able to accommodate us with decorations and even set up video games that he loves. The location is cozy and has a “cool friend’s game room in the 90s” feel to it.

The owner, Chris, is incredibly friendly and welcoming and we had a blast chatting and playing Street Fighter together. We also got to see some rare and unusual trading cards that you can’t find most places that the owner curated.

They have more vintage console games than I have ever seen in one spot and their collection is still increasing. My brother also got to pick up a couple packs of Magic cards that he had been wanting for a while at a reasonable price and will be returning in the future to purchase more.

Whether you’re looking to recapture the nostalgia of your childhood, want a place to just hang out for a while that isn’t focused on food and alcohol, or enjoy TCGs (they run tournaments as well!), this one of a kind arcade spot and card shop is not to be overlooked.

it ain't a lounge, "1- up" is a lounge, this is obviously it's just a store. If I sat in your store for 30 secs, you're gonna tell me to leave, n panic cause someone is using it as a lounge lol. Be real. this is twerking placerville, not Sacramento.

I brought my son into the store as a surprise for his 12th birthday. He loves retro video games. He found many things on his wish list and was in retro game heaven. The customer service was amazing, they are super knowledgeable about all the old systems and their quirks. We will definitely be shopping there from now on for all his retro needs.

An awesome place for video game lovers in Placerville. Not only does the store have tons of awesome trading cards and retro systems, there is also tons of games to play on the emulators. This place has a fantastic environment and is the #1 hangout spot for me and my friends.

A absolutely amazing hidden gem for old game collectors. The people there are extremely kind and respectful. The deals are absolutely fantastic and the choices are vast and reasonably priced. 10/10 Experience and would definitely recommend to anyone who collects or enjoys old video games.
