Darren comes off as having the demeanor that he doesn't have passion for helping people. His suggestion, "just rma it". I mentioned not having resources to purchase extra components to swap things out, and he took that as me not having a budget for a repair shop. The guy is a tool of a human.

This place is the best when it comes to fixing Macs. The staff is excellent; I even spoke with the owner. Super friendly and knowledgeable. If you need a New Mac or PC or maybe just some repairs to your equipment, Mac+PC Tech Pro is the Place to go.

I brought Mac+PC Tech Pro a MacBook so damaged as to be nearly beyond repair. It could not be brought back to life without replacing its ruined motherboard and removing, meticulously cleaning, and replacing every element in its interior. Rather than simply quoting me a price for this challenging repair, or advising me to cut my losses and buy a new machine, Project Manager Daren Dillinger presented multiple options. He invested considerable time in producing a written estimate detailing three different courses of action, each with its specific costs and advantages. Because time without a laptop was an important consideration for me--and because repair would be time-consuming as well as expensive--I asked Daren about the possibility of trading in my disabled machine for a refurbished computer. Again he promptly offered several options, taking the time to send full details on each refurbished computer and explain how it compared to my laptop, in terms of memory and speed. At every step he was clear about cost; he did not push me toward any particular choice; he seemed intent on making sure I could make a fully informed decision. He readily accepted my choice, completed the work even more quickly than promised, and restored my much-abused, very nearly dead computer to perfect working order.
I have always before--for years--had any needed repairs on my computers done at the Apple Store where I bought them. This location--the only Apple Store within 140 miles of me--is now so crowded it takes a week to get an appointment, and even with an appointment I have waited an hour and a half to speak to someone at the genius bar--at which point I get a quick answer. In my experience, if the genius on deck cannot resolve the issue in a few minutes on the spot, the machine is sent out for repair. I have NEVER been offered more than one option for repair--no surprise, as the crowd in the store is constantly swelling, threatening to overwhelm the beleaguered staff. All this is by way of explaining that I went to Mac+PC Tech Pro only because the soonest appointment open at the Apple Store was seven days away--and it turned out to be the best possible choice, unique in my experience. I do not anticipate ever darkening the door of the Apple Store again. At Mac+PC Tech Pro, I found genuinely exceptional professional service, marked by a commitment to finding the best solution for the individual customer, and excellent work done on site. I recommend Mac+PC Tech Pro, and Project Manager Daren Dillinger in particular, absolutely without reservation. Go here first.

My laptop keyboard developed severe issues. Turns out it needed to be replaced. Laptop keyboards can be very difficult to source and replace, but MacTechPro did it. My laptop came back from them literally good as new, like I'd just gotten it out of the box the first day I'd owned it. Terrific job, very pleased with their service!

Darren and his team know their stuff. Over the years I've twice handed them a hobbled Mac that looked to be in fatal condition.
They returned it to me not only with all apps and files fully operational ; but with the speed and storage comparable to the market's latest, at a fraction of the cost for a new machine.

I came in to find out repair options on my Mac. They were all extremely knowledgable and very honest in terms of the advantages and disadvantages vs getting it repaired at their store vs with Apple directly. I really appreciate the way they do business and will definitely recommend them and use them for future needs. Additionally, I was also impressed by their responsiveness and great customer service through email.

As a franchise the business model here is to upsell the customer and find more ways to charge fees. I found the owner arrogant and a tad smarmy but gave him the business hoping to extend the life of my Mac to avoid buying a new one. A new hard drive was installed, but the computer became “Mac tech pro’s” and the OS could not be updated. Every time Apple did an update it became slower and had more issues. When I wanted to turn in the Mac through Apple Give Back program (refund or recycling) I learned the hard drive was “not erasable and not modifiable”. Meaning doing anything to it requires bringing it back to Mactech and paying more. So you won’t just be paying for the repair you’ll be paying when you want to turn it in. I dislike businesses that operate like this (hidden costs) and would never use again or recommend this business.
