The Longboat Key News is a great paper with a very talented and entertaining writer at the helm, Steve Reid. I remember a golden headline Steve wrote years ago in 2001 for the East County Observer. This was back when Jared Fogle (the Subway guy who lost all that weight) was visiting Sarasota to give a lecture, years before prison. The headline read: "BIG LOSER RIDES SUBWAY INTO EAST COUNTY". Classic and in hindsight, spot on.
