Great educational center. They do an amazing job saving turtles. All the people working there were very nice, professional and knowledgeable. They answered all our questions. We went for the turtle festival but Loggerhead Marinelife center was the best part of the festival. My son loved the turtles and the sharks. There are restrooms on premises. The educational center had many games for kids. My son had a blast and he wants to come back tomorrow. The center operates on donations only so there is no admission fee. The donations go to wild life support, so highly recommend to donate. Some of the turtles are not able to go back to the ocean so they live there all the time. The turtles that are able to recuperate are released in the ocean. Some turtles are very very big. Definitely we will be back.

We had a fabulous experience at the Loggerhead Marine life Centre.
The staff at the reception were very welcoming and you have the option to donate which we were delighted to do since all donations are going toward the rehabilitation of the sea turtles and upkeep of the centre facilities.
The staff around the centre are extremely knowledgeable, nice and very keen to answer any questions.
The facilities are very clean and walkable and great for family and children. Even my teenage son loved it so that says a lot 😄

Just finished visiting the center for the Sea Turtle Festival, 2 day event of music, education, entertainment, and fundraising to support the rescue center.
Kids love this place! Impressive displays.
Free parking during normal activities.
Free admission. Real live turtles that need medical TLC.
So many great volunteers work this place.

this was an amazing educational experience! free entry but donations are appreciated. lots of tanks to look at turtles as well as indoor exhibits and an amazing shop for souvenirs. great for children and adults alike. come early because parking is scarce and we drove around 20 minutes or so for something to free up.

Outstanding experience for both fun and learning.

We came in to check things out and we really enjoyed our visit.

There was plenty of staff to explain things and they were all friendly and helpful.

Seeing the recovering turtles was cool. Not something you see every day.

We also were there when they do their feeding in 3 different ocean environments. All of them were cool with nice explanations about each ecosystem.

There is no fee to get in but they so accept donations. They recommend a $10 per person donation, but don’t push it at all.

It was a very fun and educational trip. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something to do.

Such a fun spot for visitors of all ages. You can spend just an hour there or several hours if you take the time to read everything. It’s free to enter and wander but I highly recommend the guided tour, the guides are so informative. Our guide, Kate, clearly loved working there.

Also - their monthly lecture series is an absolute must. It was fun to be there after hours and learn something new.

If you've never had the opportunity to view a sea turtle in the wild, Loggerhead Marinelife Center provides a chance to see them up close, in captivity, while they rehabilitate from injuries attained in the wild.

As tourist attractions go, it's one of the gems of the North County that provides a must-see experience that is hard to find virtually anywhere else.

The number and variety of turtles you see will change from visit to visit based on how many turtles are recuperating at the time. Also, you might see a turtle in the surgery if you visit at the right time.

There's also a fantastic gift shop, food stand, aquarium tanks full of local fish and a play area for small children.

We were able to access the facility without any trouble. The staff was courteous and helpful in our visit. The Center was recommended by a friend and well worth the visit. My children loved reading and learning about all the turtles. There were a few other animals, too. Wonderful place for all ages! We even adopted a turtle while there. Definitely recommend traveling here!
