Plenty of parking. Right next to a dog park so they can let off steam. At pickleball courts so grandma and grandpa can play. Small set of swings. Lots of benches.

Lilac Park is a wonderful spot for dog owners and their furry friends. The park features a spacious, well-maintained area where dogs can run freely and socialize with other dogs. The setting is nice with majority of artificial grass, has shaded areas that make for a pleasant environment. Amenities like water stations, benches, and waste disposal bags ( recently added BIO- DEGRADABLE /ECO - FRIENDLY -WELL DONE ✅ ) are thoughtfully provided, ensuring convenience and cleanliness. Lilac Park’s welcoming atmosphere and community feel make it a popular choice for dog owners looking to give their pets a fun and engaging outdoor experience. People and dogs are AMAZING 🤩

Beautiful park, spacious, parking is decently available but it is centrally located to many public areas and neighborhoods; biking or walking here would be great! I only wish the soccer fields were still there! Sad to see it torn up just to make more pickle ball courts.

Lilac Park is located in Palm Beach Gardens. It has a multipurpose field, covered playground, uncovered playground, and exercise trail. This is a great park to take the kids and pups to play but it is also ideal for exercise too.

Next to the parking lot you will see the Lilac Dog Park. Dogs are only allowed in the dog park, not the other sections of Lilac Park. The fenced in dog park has separate areas for large and small. There is also covered seating, picnic tables and agility equipment.

In the back of the park I discovered the clay Burns Road Jogging Trail that ends at Lilac Park. You can pick up the trail at the eastern end of the Burns Road Recreation Complex at Burns and Military. From there the trail heads south over a bridge across the the Thompson River canal into Lilac Park. Once the Burns Jogging Trail enters Lilac Park there is Fitness Trail equipment that uses your body weight to exercise and condition your body. I liked the part of the trail by the canal best where I watched a number of native birds attracted by the water.

Dog park: Great local dog park with enough doggy bag stations, a water station, friendly neighbors (for the most part), and a bathroom! We come here weekly or bi-weekly and have found the times of the day that work best for us.

Great local spot, just got some new sod, much needed turf, water fountains, nice covered areas for larger dogs and small dogs as well as ample seating for owners.
++Prepare to get a little dirty, lots of dirt patches on the perimeter of the park where all the benches are.

This is definitely in the running for #1 park in palm beach county, especially if you have a toddler. The shaded play area is great and has a specific fire truck playground for younger kids. One of my favorite parts about it is the fence around the lake. Most parks are open to the water which gives me so much anxiety with a toddler who likes to dart off. Also the playground is fenced in from the parking lot/road as well. And the play area is the padded turf material (rubber), and that’s great for falls. My son also loves that he has twice been lucky enough to be a recipient of a foul ball from the college baseball field right next to it. This is in a great safe area, and it’s probably the only park I’ve been to that I’ve never seen any shady activity. If you have older kids, there’s also a great big climbing/monkey bar area for the more acrobatic of children. We even stylized one of the pictures we took here and had it framed on canvas and it’s hanging in our living room. Great park!

I’m a fairly new resident and decided to bring my dogs to the dog park. At first it was great! The dogs love going and have a blast and make some really great dog and human friends. Made it a part of my routine to go there after work and on weekend mornings so the dogs can play. However the last 72 hours both of my dogs have been injured. Sunday I spent a $500 vet bill because the holes on the ramp. My dogs dew claw got caught and ripped. No biggie. It happens. Sent an email to the parks and rec department and they were very sincere and supportive. Today a woman brought her Akita and attacked my other dog leaving a puncture wound which totaled up to another $600 vet bill.

If your dog is well behaved and is socialized they should be welcomed with open arms. If your dog is aggressive and you have 0 control seek training! This could have ended very badly.
