OMG!!!! I made the trip an hour and a half to Lavender and Lace! What an amazing experience!!!! I arrived early and they accommodated me as quickly as they could. So I started in the gift shop and was blown away with the selection. I started talking to two lovely women and shortly thereafter they were called to their table. About 10 minutes passed and I was seated. It turns out I was right next to them and they invited me to share their table! We had a wonderful time. The building is just beautiful. The decor to die for. The food amazing. The tea itself was just delightful. The service was on point and we never felt rushed. There is a beautiful garden for you to sit in if you arrive early and the day was beautiful! I had the cottage pie, L had the pasta with shrimp and B had the chicken salad with fruit. We all had so much left over to take home. Check out the pictures! L, B and I will meet there again!

Lavender 'n Lace Tea Room has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember—a true Southern gem where tradition and charm come together. When I was a little girl, my grandma and aunt would take me here for tea, and those memories have stayed with me through the years. In July 2022, I had the joy of continuing this tradition by treating my sisters and stepmom to an all-girls outing. It felt like coming full circle.

Knowing how popular this place is, I made reservations, and we were seated at a lovely round table in the corner—a perfect spot to laugh, share stories, and reminisce. During our meal, one of my sisters started giggling as she recalled a memory from high school. Turns out, the owner’s children had thrown a party here while their parents were out of town, and she attended. Now that we’re adults, we could all laugh about it without judgment, adding another layer to the many memories tied to this special place.

Unlike a traditional UK-style tea house, Lavender 'n Lace is a Southern Tea House through and through. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with a charm that’s both elegant and relaxed. From the delicate decor to the comforting hospitality, it feels like stepping into a simpler, sweeter time. It’s not just a tea room—it’s a place where stories are shared, laughter echoes, and memories are made.

If you’re looking for a slice of Southern grace and tradition, this is the place to be. Lavender 'n Lace isn’t just a meal; it’s an experience that stays with you.

We wanted to do something different for our anniversary and a couple friends recommended Lavender and Lace, and I am glad they did. The interior is like an explosion of all things you may associate with a British tea party, but on steroids. There are extra Christmas decorations, which may add to the pink and bling vibe, but very fun indeed. Paula enjoyed her chicken croissant sandwich as I tucked into my scrummy, creamy cottage pie. We had a dark chocolate mousse cake as a dessert. It was decadent. We also had some berry filled scones with clotted cream. Wow. Super moist and warm. Delicious. We finished off with a herbal tea containing raspberries, apples and spices. Such an enjoyable experience all around. We even poked through the cute gift shop at the end. If you are looking for a unique experience, this would be a great place to come on a date, or for a girls brunch out. I would recommend it to others. Well done, and thank you all!

My friend brought me to Lavender & Lace for some afternoon girl time. And what a great choice to enjoy some good food and a lovely ambiance. It was my first visit, but hopefully not my last. Our server was pleasant and attentive. The food was delicious. I had the best blueberry scones I’ve ever had 😋. And I truly enjoyed my ginger peach tea 🫖.

Absolutely Delightful Experience!

My husband and I had the pleasure of visiting this charming tea room, and it was truly a 5-star experience from start to finish. The ambiance is serene and cozy, perfect for a relaxing afternoon. The selection of teas was impressive, and each cup was brewed to perfection. I particularly loved the seasonal blend, which had such a unique and refreshing flavor.

The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. The food was also exceptional –Every bite was simply heavenly.

It was a unique and memorable way to celebrate our 13th Anniversary! We will definitely be returning soon!

Came here as a surprise from my boyfriend for our 1 year anniversary! Absolutely in love with the entire concept of this place! The food was actually so good it surpassed both of our expectations and genuinely made us so happy that we went there. I think this is the best place ive ever been in my entire life. From the aesthetic on the inside to the plants on the outside making it feel like youre in another beautiful universe. Ugh its genuinely a must visit location. You will not regret visit this place at all!

Sept 4, 2024 - Our first visit to Lavender & Lace this week to celebrate our Mom’s 77th Birthday. This was a wonderful upscale and comfortable experience. The restaurant is in an old house surrounded by big trees and gardens. My sister uses a Walker and this was easy to access for her.
We tried two (cups) soups ($6), Wild Rice & Mushroom and also Cream of Asparagus. Both were tasty and worth ordering again. For lunch we ordered Curry Chicken (pan-seared tenderloins marinated in yogurt sauce & zesty Persian lime cooked in showcase blend curry and served over seasoned basmati rice - $22), Cottage Pie (ground sirloin with garden vegetables, herbs, and spices topped with creamy mashed potato’s - $19), Crunchy Chicken (homemade baked chicken casserole with rice, celery& sliced almonds topped with cheddar, mozzarella, and crunchy crushed potato chips - $19) and Puff Pastry (tender pieces of chicken sautéed with broccoli in a butter cream sauce, served along w/ a delicate puffed pastry-$19).
Everything was flavorful, large portions and we would order each item again. The Cottage Pie had the lightest flavor of each of the entrees we ordered. The Crunchy Chicken and curry Chicken were our favorites.
The staff was very nice and friendly and our server was delightful.
We also had a couple of different teas. We tried a berry iced tea which was really nice and a hot Snow Monkey Tea which was a light flavored tea.
We highly recommend a visit to this charming and beautiful restaurant tucked away in a neighborhood in Lake Alfred, Florida.

November 6, 2024 - Saturday was our third experience at Lavender & Lace in 3 months as we celebrated a friend’s birthday. This time we ordered a cup of Sausage Gumbo Soup ($6), Curry Chicken ($22), Chicken Salad Sandwich on Croissant ($18) and Quiche ($19). For dessert, we ordered the Peanut Butter Pie ($8), Cranberry & Orange Scones ($8.25) with clotted cream and Dark Chocolate Mouse Cake ($9).
The Sausage Gumbo Soup was flavorful and just right. The Okra cooked within it was a nice and not slimy texture. The Curry Chicken, we’ve had before and loved it so much we enjoyed it again. The Chicken Salad on Croissant was AMAZING! In fact I feel like this is the best most creamy chicken salad I’ve ever had. And the croissant was toasted just right. I will definitely get this sandwich again. Our friend had the Quiche and while she said the crust was a bit hard to cut, she really enjoyed the taste and consistency of the Quiche.
The Cranberry & Orange Scone was served with two scones and I don’t know that I’ve ever had clotted cream so I wasn’t sure what to expect. These Scones were really tasty and I’m happy that this was my choice. My husband got the peanut butter pie and it surprised us as it had a much lighter taste than we expected. Also very tasty and something we recommend. Our friend enjoyed the Dark Chocolate Mouse Cake and she was very pleased.
The teas we enjoyed were a hot Raspberry in Paris Rooibos and an iced Pina Colada. Both were excellent.
This is a beautiful restaurant and garden and they have a nice gift shop to browse before or after your meal.
