The restaurant has a dining room and an outdoor patio.
Service was attentive and good.
The food, however, was overpriced and below standard.
For example, the $28 Fajita dish (combo meat and shrimps had only 3 shrimps, 5 pieces of very chewy meat, little rice, and little refried beans. The tortillas were very small, hard, and stale. Totally unacceptable.
The chips tasted oily, and these were typical of the meal

Sat at the bar while waiting for a friend and Jamesson made me the best margarita I’ve ever had. Wonderful man and a great bartender. Jay was our waitress, she is very delightful and attentive. She made sure everything was perfect. Zach came out with the fresh Guac and told some jokes that made us laugh. Queso was amazing and so were our steak tacos. 10/10 experience

It is a great place for a Mexican treat. We tried it for he first time this week. The place is clean and bright. The comfortable outdoor seating also provides access to a bags (cornhole to you heathens) game. They sell their own tequila and will make guacamole at your table to your specs (we did not try this, but it looked great). The food was great. We tried birria, shrimp, crispy fish, and chicken tacos. All were delicious. An overstuffed chicken burrito was also great. It was spicy without being overpowering. The chips and salsa appetizer alone would make me come back again and again to try all other chip based dishes.
The margaritas are top tier. The sangria offerings are also a tremendous choice. I liked the tropical better than the traditional, but both were a joy to drink. Our server K.C. was personable, funny, and had great advice. Well done La Mesa!! Nosotros volveramos!!

We went for an early dinner( 4:30 pm) and made it just in time. Then the place filled up quickly. We were greeted and sat at our table. Our friendly server Josh came over right away. He took our drink order and we got table side guac! Henry did our table side guacamole and it was so fresh and amazing! Josh was so friendly and did a great job. We all got something different, each meal was fresh and tasted wonderful. We all loved the salsa and chips too. Highly recommend this place! ❤️❤️

La Mesa Taqueria on Marco Island is the perfect choice for authentic and delicious Mexican cuisine. The food is exceptionally prepared and bursting with flavor. The service was excellent and attentive.

We sampled a variety of menu items, including a chicken quesadilla, bean burrito, gringo taco, and chicken enchilada with black beans - all of which were absolutely delicious and satisfying in portion size.

The restaurant has a nice mix of indoor seating as well as tables near the outside, creating an al fresco dining atmosphere. The only downside is that parking can be a bit tight, so guests may need to be patient when arriving.

Overall, La Mesa Taqueria provides an excellent Mexican dining experience with high-quality food, great service, and a pleasant ambiance.

What a great Mexican restaurant.My wife had enchilada and I had tacos. Rice and beans superbly cooked. The nacho starter the best we ever had and a nice size portions. For all you draft beer lovers this is the place. These must clean the beer lines quite often take it from me a real draft Beer lover for mama years.The best on the Island for sure. Super clean and friendly staff.

I’m not sure why this place only has 4 stars, they deserve 5. Fabulous FOOD!!!! I had Birria and Pescado tacos with rice and beans, wow! I will be back when I’m in town. Jameson provided great service, God Bless Him!!!

Great service. We didn't get any alcoholic drinks but they looked like they had some pretty good offerings. The Tableside Guacamole is a most even if you are getting drinks only. This is not your Tex Mex Mexican food smothered in cheese. Food was very tasty and fresh.
