My family and I have lived here since 2002. Current management and office staff are great. Kristen and Kimberly are always helpful and friendly. Armando our maintenance man, is always keeping the park and common areas looking great. Lot of great residents here, making an excellent community.

I am writing to share some concerns about the recent changes in management and the impact on our community. My wife and I have been residents here for almost four years, and until about three months ago, we were genuinely thrilled to call this community home. Unfortunately, under the current management, we have experienced significant challenges that have affected the atmosphere and reputation of the community.

The current manager's approach has created a strained relationship with residents. Rather than fostering a collaborative and positive environment, the management style has leaned toward intimidation and an authoritarian approach, which has left many residents feeling alienated. While the principle of treating others by the "golden rule" has been mentioned in the community's values, it seems to have been overlooked in practice.

Several residents, including myself, have reached out to the corporate office to address these issues, but we have yet to see meaningful assistance or change. In speaking with local realtors, I’ve learned that this community's reputation has been negatively impacted, making it difficult for residents to sell their homes. This is deeply concerning and could have long-term implications for the value and desirability of this neighborhood.

The solution to these issues is straightforward: we need leadership that prioritizes creating a safe, supportive, and well-maintained community while engaging with residents in a respectful and collaborative manner. It’s crucial for management to remember their role as stewards of the community, serving the best interests of all residents.

I remain hopeful that with the right adjustments in attitude and practices, this community can regain its positive reputation and become a place where residents once again feel proud to live. I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this further and hear how the corporate office plans to address these concerns.

The park is very nice. However, the management leaves a lot to be desired, the management does little for park improvements. Because it's an adult community you should be prepared for growing men and women to act like immature children who complain about everything and spread rumors like back in Highschool. Enjoy

Update

In response to Sun Communities response. I give you a 2 star now because you responded to my review in a timely fashion. However, I have met the new manager. Part of your response.

“Our community rules and regulations are in place for the safety and peaceful enjoyment of all residents, and they apply to everyone. In order to maintain fair and consistent rule enforcement, we issue rule reminders (and violation notices when necessary) in writing. This allows everyone to review the details of the communication later and be clear on any corrections required.
We invite you to stop by our office to meet our manager and discuss any questions or concerns that may arise. We are here to help make La Casa Blanca a great neighborhood we can all be proud to call home!”

I wasn’t given a rule reminder. All she had to do is come talk to me and I would have taken care of the issue. Instead she wrote us up. My husband and I have put in place two large amenities to your community and this is the thanks we’re given. Not just us, but several other residents have been written up for stupid reasons. No one was harming the community. You don’t understand at all what’s going on here. Also who has a meeting at 3:30pm on a Wednesday. Our community has our golf league and many, many residents can’t make this time because they work. She just doesn’t want any at her meetings. Even the people who do show up who have an issue and she brushes them aside. Maybe someone higher up, like Tom needs to come have a visit with the residents. You have hired again, a person that doesn’t belong in Management. We need a manager like the last one. (Dawn). Someone who will actually communicate with the residents. There are many other issues your residents have with the current manager than what I’ve brought up.

I have to tell you we visited your Park and Christin the Mngr. Is fantastic. We spoke with her and she was superb. Very informative, pleasant. I have to say if we still owned our business we would try to recruit her. You are lucky to have such caring employee.

We have enjoyed living in La Casa Blanca. The Park Manager Dawn and her assistant Jordan are doing a great job. They are very approachable and personable. They seem to understand the needs of the residents and community, which shows in the way they work with the residents.
