The Kimball Art Museum in Fort Worth truly exceeded my expectations. Although I knew it was free to enter, I was blown away by the entire experience. From start to finish, the museum is impressive, with its stunning architecture providing the perfect backdrop for photos. It offers both permanent and rotating exhibitions, with highlights like the Egypt, Iraq, and Mayan collections that particularly captivated me. You could easily spend an entire day here, exploring every corner. If you're planning a trip to Fort Worth, the Kimball Art Museum is definitely a must-see destination.

If I remember correctly, it was free to enter since there was only one hour left to explore. The place wasn’t crowded, which made it even better! 🕰️✨

The back exhibit area was especially impressive—rarely do you see an entire carpet illustrating the battles of ancient Rome. Truly spectacular! 🏛️🗡️🛡️

This is truly a magnificent art museum—they even have works by Caravaggio and Gentileschi! Both the special exhibitions and the permanent collections are outstanding. While there are some Impressionist works on display, I must admit that I’m not a big fan of Impressionism. The museum’s collection may not be vast, but every piece is of exceptional quality.

The staff here are incredibly friendly. We had the pleasure of meeting a gentleman, who I believe is a local, but his English was impeccable. He provided us with a wealth of information about the exhibits, making our visit even more enjoyable.

The Dutch art special exhibition was absolutely worth the ticket price. It featured a large number of Rembrandt’s etchings and works by Frans Hals. To my delight, I even found a painting by Jan Steen! The carefully curated selection of artworks truly highlights the museum’s dedication to showcasing masterpieces. Whether you're an art enthusiast or simply curious, this museum is a must-visit destination that offers an enriching and inspiring experience.

I highly recommend visiting the Kimbell Art Museum if you are in Fort Worth. It is free to visit. Parking is free and plentiful outside the building and in the garage. You can find more details about parking on their website, as well as a lot of information about current and rotating exhibitions, history, etc.
Our experience at the Museum was even more impressive that we anticipated – we were truly amazed by the depth and quality of the art collection. It was wonderful to view in person their recent acquisition of Artemisia Gentileschi’s Penitent Mary Magdalene. The building itself is beautiful and very photogenic. The well designed layout makes it easy to navigate, allowing visitors to view and locate artwork effortlessly. Renzo Piano Pavilion is an experience in itself with displays of Mayan and Murillo art. Just wonderful and so inspiring!
The staff is knowledgeable and welcoming. It is easy to get lost in the beautiful art and spend some time here, even though, if you have some left, don’t’ skip gift shop – it has beautiful and interesting items and better priced than at the neighboring Modern Art Museum. You can check jackets, coats or bags downstairs to be comfortable during your time here.

We went to see the Dutch Art in the Golden Age exhibit on loan from the Muesum of Fine Art, Boston. I haven't studied this Art, but I was very impressed with the amazing skills of the artists. The detail was almost like a photo, and the settings had so many features that looked into everyday life. I highly recommend attending before the end of the exhibit.

A truly wonderful day visit! We made an afternoon reservation (required) for the tea service located in the café area of the museum. We felt it was absolutely worth the cost (around $50) to split between 3 people. We were provided a selection of teas to choose 2 options from. We were huge fans of the strawberry hibiscus. The museum has free entry and free museum parking (street parking available too). The art work was an exceptional treat to walk through following our afternoon tea and treats.

My husband loves being a member and we make a point to see every special exhibit. While we’ve been to many, the renaissance tapestries that are currently on display are truly incredible! We easily spent two hours listening to the audio tour and then going back through to look at the tapestries and the rest of the exhibit. There were a couple of tours going on at the same time, and just a wealth of information being shared. We look forward to being patrons for years to come and highly recommend visiting before mid-September to see this exhibit if possible.
