Loved the tour of the brewery and the history! There is a fee for the tours, but you do receive free beer. One of my favorite beers is Shiner Bock! After visiting and trying some of their others on tap, I now have some more favorites! And they now have a distillery! It's the tour that's worth the detour!!

Well, it was a fine Texas morning when I fired up my steel horse and rode down to Shiner, Texas, in pursuit of two sacred things—a frosty beer and a meal fit for a cowboy.
I knew I was in the right place when the smell of slow-smoked brisket drifted through the air like a beacon of hope. When i pulled up to the brewery, parked my mighty steed, and strode inside like I owned the place. No sooner had I grabbed my first sip of that golden Shiner nectar than I locked eyes with what could only be described as the mother of all baked potatoes. This was no ordinary spud—it was a mountain of buttery, cheesy goodness crowned with a pile of brisket that looked like it had been blessed by the barbecue gods themselves.
Now, I didn’t come all this way just to eat like some city boy with manners. No, sir. I tackled that potato with the ferocity of a rodeo bull rider, knowing full well that there was no elegant way to consume something of this magnitude. I was elbows deep in brisket when the band fired up—a sound so sweet it had folks swaying in their seats. Then, just when I thought things couldn't get better, a group of American Legion riders pulled up, looking like the kind of folks who had stories worth hearing. So,wiping the last bit of barbecue sauce off his chin, moseyed over and soon found myself swapping tales, laughing, and feeling that unbeatable camaraderie that comes when good folks come together over bikes, beers, and brisket.
As the sun dipped lower, I leaned back, satisfied, knowing i had lived the kind of day country songs were written about. And as I climbed back onto my Indian motorcycle, one final thought crossed my mind: Ain’t nothing better than riding Texas on a full stomach 🤠

Great tour, tasty beer and food, and a very friendly staff! The goody bag wasn't great but the free beer was awesome! This was one of the best tours we've done for a brewery or a distillery. (We did the brewery tour here.) Highly recommend sticking around to enjoy some of the food from the cafe while enjoying your beer. Nice outdoor setting to just relax in. Also, if you can, fill out a postcard for them to send to our troops at bases in the U.S. and abroad. It's so nice that Shiner has that program. 🇺🇸👏

Wonderful tour of an incredible craft brewery that’s been around since 1909. Great history of how this amazing company got its start in Texas. Highly recommend the tour which charges but includes tokens for free beer which gives you the opportunity to try several of their 15+ beers. While you are there, I also would recommend you try their incredible BBQ brisket sandwich or meal and side dishes. You can even listen to live music on the weekends. Shiner is a great town with friendly people so it’s a great reason to visit and learn some history about its start.

August 2024
We had some guests visit us from Missouri, and we decided it might be nice to take them to this Brewery, especially since we had just visited this location back in April 2024.

We arrived around 11:30 and had a 12:30 tour scheduled. I will note, there are two tours; there's one for the Distillery and one for the Brewery.

We opted to take the brewery tour for our group of eight people. It was a nice Saturday afternoon with a little bit of overcast and sporadic light rain. Just know, the brewery generally has a band playing underneath a covered patio. There are also awnings and/or tents with chairs to sit in, whether rain or shine. Before and after our tour, we did just this to visit, listen to the music, and also enjoy some of the various drafts of beer that are made at the brewery.

All in all, everyone had a good time, and I know I will definitely be back at a later date.

I hope you enjoy your when you visit. There is a good story and some history about how Shiner Bock came into the area.

Remember to drink responsibly.

Great, place to visit and spend a few hours or an afternoon. Just remember to drink responsibly and let someone else drive if you have had too much.

I live in San Antonio and drink Shiner Bock beer on occasion. We had a free weekend day and decided to see where Shiner Bock beer comes from, how it's made, and enjoy a day outside of the bustling city of San Antonio.

I reserved the time for a tour online and listened to the ticket options to purchase when we arrived. We visited on Saturday, 4/6, and our tour time was 11 am.

You will find the staff, friendly, professional and courteous. They are very customer oriented in this friendly small town.

Our tour started on time, was very informative, and tokens that accompanied your tour package purchase, as part of the tour, can be used to get a beverage before or after the tour. On the day of our visit, there was live entertainment outside under a roofed area. Luckily for us, the day we visited, it was cloudy and cool outside.

I'm looking forward to making another day trip as we only did the brewery tour and not the distillery tour.

I've shared some of the pictures taken and hope your visit is as enjoyable as our was.

My boyfriend comes here twice a year because he loves it so much but this was my first time. I really love how they treat their employees and the tour was very informative. Lori was our tour guide and she was so nice.

We had the best time at Shiner! The brewery and distillery tours were excellent. We aren’t able to remember our guide for the brewery tour (12 noon tour on 6/1), however Jessica was wonderful in the distillery. She also gave us recommendations for local places to grab lunch. The live music was awesome! We can’t wait to take our friends & family back when they visit. 🤩
