Here lies historic Warren Ballpark, built by the miners in 1909, 5 years before Wrigley field was built. It brought many hall of fame players & MLB traveling teams passing thru to promote professional baseball. In 1913, Jim Thorpe got a homerun here when he played for the NY Giants against the Chicago White Sox. [The Bisbee Deportation was the illegal kidnapping and deportation of about 1,300 striking mine workers, their supporters, and citizen bystanders by 2,000 members of a deputized posse, who arrested them beginning on July 12, 1917, in Bisbee, Arizona. The action was orchestrated by Phelps Dodge, the major mining company in the area, which provided lists of workers and others who were to be arrested to the Cochise County sheriff, Harry C. Wheeler. Those arrested were taken to a local baseball park before being loaded onto cattle cars and deported 200 miles (320 km) to Tres Hermanas in New Mexico. The 16-hour journey was through desert without food and with little water. Once unloaded, the deportees, most without money or transportation, were warned against returning to Bisbee. Warren Ballpark is a hidden gem in SE AZ. The historical aspect,of the ballpark alone is worth a trip to Bisbee. The Copper Classic was awesome a great day at the ballpark,watching vintage baseball. Shout out to the Maricopa Maidens!!!

A classic ballpark since the turn of the previous century. This is one of my favorite places. I participate in the yearly celebration of vintage base ball. It's always a great experience to play the game by its original rules in such a historic place. Players such as Babe Ruth played here as park of a touring team. The grandstands have been recently refurbished and brand new bathrooms have been built along the right field line.

For small town Arizona, this place is awesome. It was really cool watching my son play here. It's really old but still a decent facility. I like the sound the bat makes when there is a hit.

Love this Historica Ball Park, it's the oldest in continuous use ball park in all of the West. This park was completed in 1909 and hosted a Pro Baseball team in it's hayday! I still attend games at the Warren Ball Park.

Field needs some infield leveling. Outfield fence looks good and the scoreboard is really nice.
