My daughter was placed in the english learners program when she doesn't speak a second language. When registering my child into the hemet school district I put down that my spouse and I speak Spanish. I later get an email stating that my daughter need to take an assessment test. In the assessment test, that I requested to observe, they tested my 4 year old, who had not attended any educational institution, on reading and spelling out words as well as seeing how well developed her speaking and comprehension of the english language is. When we got the results she scored very well in compression and speaking the english language but to no one's surprise scored very low on the spelling and reading portion. I've been calling them with no luck amd leaving voicemails and no gets back to me. I've attended meetings where they tell me the only way out is if she gets real assessed but "they" make it impossible and currently their no programs in her school that help kindergarteners with the reading and spelling portion. We are stuck with unnecessary stress so the district can benefit a few dollars off of my child. She was racially targeted for their own benefit.
