Jacob Reid has been my personal trainer for 6 months, and I am very happy that I chose to work with him. He is upbeat, punctual and a good communicator, as well as being educated about nutrition, diet, and how to work with injuries, pre and post surgery. I am a 63 year old woman, overweight and out of shape, recovering from a hip replacement. I started working with Jacob a month before I had my knee replaced. I needed to lose weight and build strength for my recovery. I have lost 30 pounds, and only stayed out of the gym for a week after surgery. My orthopedic doctor was amazed at my quick recovery. I feel like I have a strong team helping me achieve better health. Thanks Jacob!

Terrible hours and days I don’t understand why it can’t be 24/7 like it is in Fortuna, Myrtletown is a good neighborhood so it makes zero sense. If you’re going to close your second in town location at least extend your hours at the other location. Also please get better equipment, what are all the invitation fees going towards, if not that?! I have to bring in my own ankle straps, now they took away the extra workout room that was already desperately needed what’s next I’ll need to bring my own machines?! Please do better I regret switching everytime I pull up and you’re closed.

I mainly use the swimming pool and hot tub at this location. Sometimes people let their kids in the pool during hours that are only supposed to be for lap swimming. And sometimes people let their children play and jump and splash in the hot tub. That can be annoying if they bump into you or are splashing water in your face when you're just trying to relax a little after working out. Lately there have been closures of the pool and hot tub so I haven't been able to go. The staff here is fantastic about communicating issues and sending out emails to let members know if there's going to be closures or limits to areas of the facility. The locker room is always clean as well as the showers and bathrooms the pool area. Great atmosphere the only trouble is with other patrons but that's not even a bad thing. It doesn't keep me from enjoying using the facilities.

Absolutely love this gym and have gotten to the point where I spend at least three hours at a time here. I've see nothing but gains since coming here and the staff is very respectful and mindful. The other gym goers are too, very nice and it's a very positive and healthy atmosphere.

My partner and I are moving out of the area and unfortunately we cannot take HealthSport Eureka with us! The center on Pennsylvania St in Eureka was a great facility especially the pool area! I opened a new membership at the facility closest to our new home and was greeted on our first day with a murky pool. 😳. Made me really miss HealthSport!

I came into the gym scared and with very little experience working out. I had never worked out in a gym setting before at all. Joscelind’s guidance and training not only helped me physically achieve my goals but gain the confidence to keep coming back.
She is kind but also tough and makes sure you’re always pushing towards a new goal. I have physical limitations due to injury and Joscelind was able to give me work outs that didn’t stress my injury and helped to strengthen core muscles that help me with my chronic pain and physical mobility. Her guidance has helped me gain physical strengthen as well as confidence in myself. Couldn’t have asked for a better person to be my trainer.

Passing through and snagged a day pass, $25. The employees and trainers were really nice. 2 squat racks and a smith machine, lots of cables, dumbbells up to 120 and a plenty of benches. Plenty of cardio machines and whatnot as well. The changing room was really nice and had access to the pool.
