What a neat hidden gem! I asked for recommendations on a new game for our family, and they had some fantastic suggestions. They keep tons of unique games on hand for purchase, and several cozy spaces and game selections available to play in the back of the shop. It seems family friendly (there were several well behaved kids on the way through as I was checking out) and also a group of adults deeply engaged in a long standing game. Just feels like a happy sort of place. If you’re in the area and enjoy games, you should definitely add this spot to your favorites list!

An absolutely amazing place that we are so lucky to have in our neighborhood. The staff are all super helpful when you are looking for any sort of game. I have purchased board games on 4 different occasions and each time gave them different ideas of what I was looking for and they nailed it every time. It is also an incredible place if you are into D&D or other TTRPGs to hang out and play. There are always a bunch of players and they do a great job getting everything organized and running smoothly.

I've had nothing but a top tier experience with the Golden Game Guild. I've shopped there frequently, participated in various events, and spoken with a majority of the staff. They are fun, friendly, and knowledgeable. The space is clean and beautiful. The selection is expansive, and dips it's toe into nearly every aspect of the table top/trading card/board game space. A must visit if you're in town and like games! I've also had great experiences with purchasing magic the gathering singles, and selling my magic the gathering cards here

I saw the Pokémon cards while walking by and it caught my attention as a small gift for the kiddos. I’m a novice with Pokémon and everything else, with exception of food, the store has to offer after I walked in to check out the cards. With that said, there was a variety of games and game versions for the beginner, a casual fan or player, and more experienced player. There were a few private areas to play in along with an immense library of games between the front of the store and the back. The calendar of events on the back wall of the main store area shows you a packed schedule of events the store offers. Food-wise, the iced Honduran latte with oat milk was very good. The rest of the menu looked good since it’s essentially the “best of” Tributary Food Hall nearby. Service was great and the vibe was nice. I don’t know my way around D&D or any of the games, but I’d return for the food, coffee, and environment.

I really want to like this place. The problem I have is the pricing model. My girlfriend and I love games, but don't want to necessarily come in and play for hours at a time, so can't really justify the $20 it would cost for us to stop by just for an hour.

Some thoughts:
$5 per person for 90 min
Free admission with minimum food/bev purchase
Admission $ can be used towards game purchase

Love the space, people seem great, and the game library is amazing. Maybe y'all are doing great with the current model, but I feel like there might be more casual gamers that could be welcomed with some other options!

Great place to hangout with friends. Wonderful game shop. $10 to be able to stay and play their massive amount of games for all group sizes. Great place to meet for MTG. They sell some food, beer, and other drinks. The staff is fun and helpful. Lots of seating options. They also sell cards, dice, figures, paint and etc. Worth checking out, go have fun!

The staff is incredibly knowledgeable; whether you're looking for a new party game or something strategic and complicated, they've got you covered.
