Flew out from Canada to check out the grand opening and the Altered Grand Tournament which was the biggest in North America to date. The event space is HUGE, you can run a 50+ person tournament and still have many large groups playing other games comfortably.

The attached restaurant (Forks & Boards) is also incredible - don't overlook it thinking it's just bar food. Options range from unique apps, a burger made to your liking that would rival a gourmet burger joint (how many places can you choose to have it made medium rare let alone at a lgs), a delicious chicken or salmon dinner plate, desert, drinks...all without leaving your game table if you so wish, but taking a break in the stand alone restaurant is also a perfect change of scenery after some long gaming sessions.

This is definitely THE destination for any gamers, I envy anybody within driving distance. The mural is beautiful and under appreciated by the way!

They JUST opened and I am so happy with our experience!
We live right down the road and we can't visit the Tempe location as regularly anymore after having our baby, so having this spot open a couple blocks down is amazing! Everyone was really nice and had great attitudes! Massive variety of games to choose from and their inventory is well stocked, even after all the shoppers they've had. We stepped into the connected restaurant and had a great time too. The burgers were hot and seasoned well, the fried mushrooms were amazing but I think the real star or the show was the mead! We had a glass of Blood of the Blood God and WOW! Will definitely be coming back more often to try the rest of their fun menu 🙂
I didn't catch everyone's names we spoke to but we appreciate all the hard work they're doing at making this place so awesome 🙂

Overwhelming amazing. Never have I seen so much awesome nerddom in one repeated location. Countless tables for card games, board games, war games, all other games. Free board game rentals with an ID! Table service drinks and food from Forks and Boards that is attached. Bar with gelato. I have to check out brunch here. Can't wait to bring my friends for an all day gaming session!

Walking into this store I was amazed at what has been built here. A HUGE open play space that’s wheelchair accessible and food delivered to you from the restaurant are just a few features that set this game store offers. If you’re looking for products in Warhammer, Trading Cards, Board Games, Etc. this is the spot. Great community to start gaming in, too. Check out the Tempe Store if you can’t make it to this one.

An INSANE gaming mecca. This place is PACKED with damn near EVERYTHING.

We got paints, we got collectables, we got the home depot of TTRPGS here. Dice, Warhammer, MtG. PLUSHIES.

Huge space for table rentals, a generous membership plan, and, the best part? You have food RIGHT THERE BABY. What a gem to have in Phoenix!

Staff are super friendly, knowledgeable, and a general delight to be around.

You know that feeling you used to get at Toys “R” Us when you were a kid? Well, this places gives that same wonderful feeling of “there’s so much awesome stuff here, I want it all!”.

I’ve been to a lot of game stores and the sheer size of this place is staggering. It’s many, many times bigger than any game store I’ve ever seen before. They’ve got a ton of merchandise and well as a huge play area. They can host huge tournaments/events here with ease. The staff were all really nice and helpful. The restrooms were nice (this is always an under-appreciated aspect of a game store). Place had good airflow/smelled fine (also important for a game store). Oh, and there’s a restaurant and bar too. Our sever Autumn was great.

I went with my wife on opening weekend and we had fun for about 3.5 hours looking at stuff, talking to people, and drinking and eating. You can definitely make an experience out of this place.

I’m going to give this place 5 stars pretty easily with the caveat that they work out a few kinks we experienced over time (this is just some constructive criticism, I really do love this place):
-Compared to the Tempe Gamers Guild I felt the paint ranges and model hobby supplies were lacking. They had Citadel, Vallejo, Army Painter, and Pro Acryl (which, mind you is a pretty good spread for a game store) but their other location has 2x the variety and is much smaller. There was also a lack of anything like inks and limited options on things such as super glue. I’d guess that this will expand some once they get settled in more.
-The food was good, but the QR code menu was a bit confusing, they missed some toppings on one of the sandwiches, and the table we got sat at was dirty. Again, I don’t really hold this against them since it’s opening weekend but I would expect things to be a little smoother next time.

TLDR: this place is great, feels really inclusive, has a ton of cool stuff, ample space for gaming, and just overall good vibes. Go there!

This is the BIGGEST and BEST game store in America! Fully inclusive. Bar and restaurant connected to the shop. Can order right to your gaming table. Why would you ever leave?! If there were showers here I really would never leave. And custom mead!

The owner is amazing, they will actively go out of their way to create a safe and comfortable space for everyone that makes everyone from all walks of life feel welcome.

The store itself is really damn cool. Its massive, tons of tables, got tons of terrain for you to use, mats, etc. Then it's got a whole restaurant that you can order from while you play! So cool! The pizza is really good here! It makes for a really fun day.

Great prices as well, I mean what more can you say this should be above a 5 star rating, it is the perfect shop and I am so glad it opened less then 15 minute drive away from me. It has been awesome. There is not a game store in all of Arizona, if not the world as awesome as this one.
