I prefer spending my hard earned money at a local shop where I'm treated like a fellow gamer, and not just a financial number on some spreadsheet.

GamerLife is outfitted with all the retro consoles, games, and even the accessories you'll need to get things working properly. They sell newer titles as well, which is a plus.

This local shop can even clean your old-school consoles.

Whenever I plan on purchasing anything game related, I will go directly to GamerLife because their customer service is friendly, talkative, and welcoming. I don't think I will ever need to shop anywhere else, ever again.

I recently visited a so-called "retro video game store," and it was an incredibly disappointing experience. First off, the store's owner seemed to know very little about the games they were selling. I was hoping to get some help identifying a few rare titles, but the owner could barely provide any useful information, offering vague responses when asked about certain games or consoles.

it also didnt help that almost none of the games had prices and if you ask they look up an arbitrary value on ebay. diffrent to the same game everytime you ask. so if i walk in monday they say a gameboy is 150$ the next day itll be 160$ ? what kind of price gouging is that.

the store owner attemped to claim the games were worth so much cause he graced it with his mighty hands. as if him fixing it made the original xbox worth 70$ more than the market value.

To make matters worse, the pricing was absurd. The store was charging nearly double what most retro games typically go for, even for well-known, common titles. It was clear that the owner was attempting to take advantage of customers who weren't familiar with the market. For example, a copy of Super Mario World for the SNES was priced at $80—far above the average going rate. I understand the occasional markup for rarity or condition, but there was no justification for such high prices on basic games in decent condition.

The store itself was disorganized, with games scattered all over the place in no particular order. It was difficult to find anything, and the overall atmosphere felt unprofessional and chaotic. The owner’s lack of enthusiasm or passion for the products they were selling was also evident. It seemed like a business solely focused on making a quick profit, rather than providing a true service for retro gaming enthusiasts.

I would strongly recommend avoiding this place. If you’re looking for quality retro games, there are many other stores and online retailers that offer better prices, selection, and customer service. This store simply isn’t worth your time or money.

I went in to check out what’s going on with the store and saw the prices are even more expensive? 140$ for a 2ds You can easily get one for 70$ normally , I know it’s hard running a game store but it does not justify the prices

Reply, I just went on eBay and found. A good linking 2ds for only 65$ plus 5$. Shipping idk where you get your prices from but 150$. For a 2DS is crazy, I pass by the store and enter sometimes in the mall but it always looks pretty dead to me hope this closes soon to make space for a better store. GameStop is better btw

Prices are insane? better of buying a game from game stop or eBay, way cheaper

Reply to the guy who replied to me, eBay has free returns and your prices are almost double then eBay if you look, if you cleaned the games and then it was a LITTLE maybe 3$ more expensive I’d understand but your prices are just horrible . That’s a fact

I've purchased 2 Xbox Series X consoles and 1 PS5 console from here. Consoles were super clean and work flawlessly! Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, highly suggest to check this place out

This store is a joke...owner is very rude, wants to attack you for trying to sell him a game!! He will tell you they will buy your game but when you come into the store, he says no through Facebook because he's not in the store!! The owner is a jerk!! Stay away from this place!! They will low ball you then turn around and sell items triple the price!! I will never come back!! First off!! I didn't buy the game on Amazon for $50...it was $67 plus tax!! Secondly, I didn't make a mistake when buying the game. The picture and ad showed the rated M version not the rated 18 version. I received the rated 18 instead, and I was trying to resell the game since I had no use for it and it was sealed...owner of gamer life is a liar!!

Bought a few over priced games. They worked great. I don't like how lots of stuff doesn't have prices. I had to come back 3 times to buy a game because there was no price. The owner is the only one who can price them. So the nice employee calls him and he doesn't answer. And when he finally does answer he hangs up on her because he is busy with something else. Rude. How do you not have a phone number to ask simple questions? You have to email and wait for a reply when he has the time. Not everyone has Facebook or Instagram either. This place could be great if they change a few things. We need a store like this in the area.
