I have to say, these folks make a dream home come true!
We had a couple bumps along the way as every project does (I'm in IT and very aware of engineering hurdles) and this team delivered! This team worked to give me the most beautiful dream home I could imagine. I absolutely love love love my home.
The Gallery home team was flexible when I changed my mind. They reached out to me when my input was needed when an upgrade I chose was not supported by other installed systems such as the compatibility between my electric meter capacity and my heat on demand Stiebel Eltron 36. They presented options and allowed me to make the final decision. I appreciated their customer focus and making certain I was satisfied with decisions.
They gave me the most gorgeous customized kitchen I could ever imagine: floor to ceiling custom cabinets with a custom pantry to match, a custom island I love, and my Bertazzoni appliances front and center! They also gave me two gorgeous bathrooms with full glass showers, ceiling mounted rain showers, a deep soaking tub, custom mirrors and lights to get the look I wanted! They were willing to accommodate every request including a full glass door for my 2 furry kids to see outside!
The team is professional and worked together to deliver the most beautiful home I could have imagined.
Thank you everyone at Gallery Built Homes for building my gorgeous home! I absolutely love love love this wonderful space!

Building our “forever home” has been a journey that started with finding the perfect lot in the perfect community in the best State at the best price. South Texas is so far south that the Weather Channel regularly cuts off our forecast at San Antonio. But for those lucky enough to discover the jewel of Texas, they’ll find the best climate and the lowest cost of living.
Gallery Built Homes has been our partner in this incredible build. As we near completion, I’m able to look back at each of the construction phases and see the planning and thought that went into ensuring the home was built to our high expectations. From concrete pilings and engineered trusses to vaulted ceilings and custom cabinets, Gallery has an answer to all our big hopes. Each room has a custom ceiling, a signature design, and a unique finish.
We had a choice of builders when we purchased our lot, and we chose Gallery. We’re proud that they’ve made our floor plan come to life and truly feel we have a showcase home where our family can enjoy the big and small joys of life.

We so far love the community of Laguna Vista, however it's been 5 months and our house construction seems much slower paced compared to other homes around us. Our future home is about 2k sqft and we were verbally told it should take 6 months to build. I understand Gallery Built Homes has a big project in Brownsville, thus they have been busy managing construction elsewhere. I am remaining hopeful that our home will get back on track. I plan to update this review (good or bad), when I see progress. Good luck to anyone considering building from scratch. I believe Bubba, Jason and his team have the integrity to build a quality home. Note, Abby who manages the interior materials is absolutely wonderful to work with. Olga was our real estate agent and highly recommended building with Gallery, she seems extremely knowledgeable of the area.

My wife and I have never had a house built. We found this process to be both exciting and frustrating. But I found working with Jason and Mr. Zapata to be easy and productive. Both Jason and Mr. Zapata always remained accessible, reasonable, and professional.
We were told by several people living in the community to “stay on top of them “(sub-contractors), but we lived north of Houston and could only visit about once every three weeks. The house was built within the 7-month time frame per contract and there were a few cosmetic things wrong with the house. An example is the tile people used sanded grout on our kitchen backsplash which completely ruined the tile. Mr. Zapata immediately took care of this, and we had new tile placed.
Our house was constructed during the latter stage of Covid and there were a few delays on materials. The only cost increase passed on to us was the cost of the open cell foam insulation. Our closing date was delayed because there was no garage door in place. Mr. Zapata had a door placed (the door we ordered was “being shipped”, “on the truck”, “at the dock”, and eventually “isn’t available any longer”.) and we were able to close without an increase in the interest rate. This door was non-working though, held open by C clamps. We ended up calling an outside garage door installer who immediately came and placed the spring and motor so we could use the door. I explained this to Jason, including the fact that we had to lease a storage space to keep some items secure. We were reimbursed within days.
Just before the end of our first year in the house we had the house inspected by an independent, licensed inspector. He found only a few minor things wrong with the house. I emailed Jason with his recommendations, one of which was attic vents in the garage space. I offered to pay half of this cost. You can imagine our surprise when Mr. Zapata showed up with a crew of people and every item on the recommendation list was corrected and 2 vents were placed in the attic space!
My wife and I love our house! After having the house inspected, we feel we have a well-built home. Again, I found Jason to be accessible, reasonable and professional. Our superintendent, Mr. Juan Zapata, was also accessible, reasonable, and professional. We knew we could text him and, if needed, he would correct the situation quickly- even after the first year was over.

Gallery built my home 3 years ago. They were very responsive to modifications that I noticed during the process. The house has weathered Hanna and multiple down pours with significant wind. I maintained open communication with Jason and Jose throughout the build. I hope everyone can enjoy their house and the area as much as I do.

They did a wonderful job listening to what we wanted in our home, color scheme and spaces. When we've had a issue with anything they took care of it. We couldn't be happier. Our house was built 9 years ago and we can't complain about anything. I highly recommend Gallery.

Jason and the entire GBH team was excellent from start to finish! Building a house from the ground up takes a lot of people, skill, time, and coordination and everyone did an amazing job. We are so happy with our new custom built home and look forward to many happy years ahead. Thank you to the team for a job well done! We highly recommend Gallery Built Homes.

My wife is a realtor and warned me up front that building your own home can be frustrating, but neither of us were prepared for the 12+ month debacle we endured building our new home in SPIGC. What started with smiles, hugs and handshakes ended with animosity, anger, depression and my wife being berated over the phone by the VP simply for asking that our house be completed and built to spec. In the past, Gallery may have been able to build small numbers of houses at the same time but developing new streets with the normal infrastructure that goes along with such a project, such as ELECTRICITY and building multiple homes simultaneously is clearly beyond their expertise level and they are very much out of their depth. Unhappy with how your home is progressing? - don't expect any sympathy, first you'll be told that they'll "make you whole" by refunding your money and ripping up your contract, if you keep asking for what you paid for within the contractually agreed time frame they proceed directly to "I am done with you, and not spending another dime on your house". The construction sites are also some of the worst I have seen in regards to cleanliness and environmental controls, the amount of garbage that can be found polluting the waterways and protected wildlife corridors is distressing especially in such an environmentally sensitive area as this. Chaotic ordering processes, abysmal project management and a constant stream of mistruths and outright lies is an unacceptable way to treat customers who have entrusted a home build and their future both in bricks and mortar and financially. A 5 month delay in finishing our home has cost us tens of $$thousands in extra rental, storage and an expired mortgage rate. As the "exclusive" builder in the SPI Golf Course community you are at the mercy of Gallery if you wish to build so bring a bulldog Realtor and seasoned Real Estate Attorney with you if you embark on a build here. Also keep your fingers crossed you get a decent building superintendent, luckily we did otherwise we would have walked away from this dreadful experience months ago, it's a shame that the upper management of this company don't share some of the qualities that he does and showed to us during our build. We closed on our house finally and are watching our neighbors endure the same experiences. Just as we were told by the VP at Gallery that he was done with us, I can assure you, we are very happy to be done with them.
