We found that the Florida Caverns Tours and Gift Shop was a good place to start enjoying the park. The staff were friendly and helpful. The building was built be the Civilian Conservation Corp (CCC) in the 1930’s. The stone was hand-quarried from the cavern. They sell cavern tour tickets, a wide selection of gifts and have a small but interesting museum upstairs.

The caverns are beautiful! The rooms are not as large as taller caverns in other states, but there are more formations than in other caverns I have visited. The view is up close and personal. Our tour guide, Jules, was very knowledgeable about the caverns. Definitely put these caverns on your Florida bucket list!

A little under whelming and service wasn’t great. The area upstairs is very interesting and the educational videos are typical of a state park but informative. Parking and walkways are clean and lite, but if you are in a wheelchair or have issues walking the sidewalks up to the visitors center and museum or a little steep. The cave tour was very, very well done! The building is visually impressive as it was built by the CCC in the early 30’s I do believe. If you love stone exteriors that are real this building is worth the visit.

It was so amazing to see the caverns! We did the flashlight tour and our tour guide did an amazing job at explaining all the different rocks and formations. This was a trip for a little getaway and worth every penny. We are already planning on going back. FYI we went and they did have flooded areas so be prepared to get wet, bring an extra change of shoes and wear clothes that tend to dry fast!

I thought the gift shop was not as good as most Florida state parks I've been to. The caverns were awesome. The tour is about an hour long.
Only place in Florida with this view.

Wonderful guided tour in the caverns. Such an unexpected and unique experience to discover in Florida. Also, great way to cool off a bit on a warm day as caverns stay cool year round. So much fun!

Pretty unique cave to explore. It's a guided tour that lasts around 30-40mins, nice and cool temperature inside. There are a couple of low areas, so you'll have to watch your head if you're a tall person, lol. Pretty fascinating inside, I recommend checking it out. And yes, there is a push broom inside the cave lol.
