Family of 4 (3 from out of state) went this past Sunday 12/8 for a round and to listen to the music. No cover. Good service at the bar. Fair prices, especially considering the bar is in the heart of the tourist district. Good music. We liked it so much we came back an hour or so later and watched two very talented performers Dylan Edwards and Dylan Walsh. Continued good service at the bar. We had a great time. It is definitely not an upscale, trendy bar, but that is NOT what we were looking for. It has a great honky tonk vibe. Consistent with past visits. We will definitely come back in the future. (Note: We did not get food so I can't give it a star rating. As a result, Google did not show my ratings for service and atmosphere, so I edited the review and gave it a 3 star rating.) Thanks!

Service here is horrific, arrived with a group of 4 on a Thursday night, a relatively slow night for the stockyards area. Both bartenders were intoxicated and unable to provide any kind of service to bar patrons. I have visited this bar 3 or 4 times within the past 4 months. Each time expecting a different experience and each time the same 2 male bartenders behind the bar both were intoxicated. This bar has a ton of potential if their staff can stay sober while working. I hope ownership/management are aware of these issues.

We decided to go there as we were recommended this bar. After being at the bar waiting for service the owner said he wouldn't server my friends because they were speaking Spanish although they were American citizens who happened to speak Spanish. They called the police whom which I spoke to and they said yes they are racist here unfortunately.

My son turned 21 years old on January 31st. So we hit the bar scene the night of his birthday to celebrate and let him buy his first beer. He wanted to hit up Filthy Mcnasty since he’s always heard how good the place was. We got stopped and carded at the door and were told that he wasn’t of age to get in. This was after midnight and was technically February 1. We were told by both the door guy and the “manager” that he would need to be a full 21 years and 1 day old to get in the door and that this is the TABC rule. So we left and were allowed to enter all of the other bars on the strip. We will never return to this terribly managed establishment.

Went to this bar the other night, and I was absolutely disgusted by the fact that they wouldn’t let my friends in who were visiting tourists from Poland. A woman who seemed to be in charge of the the bar kept saying they didn’t “want no damn immigrants” there. This ignorant person would not listen and try to understand that they are tourists. Last time I checked this area is a tourist destination. They lied and said it was the law, and we walked across the street to another bar. Wanna guess what happened? They were allowed into that bar immediately with zero issues. I’ve never encountered such stupidity from a business person whose ignorance was on full display. Will never, ever go back again.

If I could give this place zero stars, then I would. I’m blind and have a seeing eye dog. I was with family and we just wanted a beer. We thought the name was cheeky so we wanted to check it out.

We got halfway inside and mind you it was VERY empty. The very nasty person behind the bar told us, no dogs. We kindly informed him that my dog was a service dog and what the law dictates for access.

Verbatim he stated “I don’t care and we got no room.” I’m blind, not deaf or stupid. I KNEW the place was empty. We told him to have a nice night despite his rudeness. I could have made a big scene about this and had the authorities come but this place isn’t worth wasting your time or money on.

This was my first time in Texas and although this situation didn’t ruin the whole trip, it still grinds my gears. If you are open to the public then service dogs ARE allowed in. Perhaps this so called business needs to educate itself on state and federal laws. This place does live up to its name being filthy and nasty.

Alcohol aplenty!

Came here 3 times on my visit to Fort Worth Stockyards and had a different experience each time.

Different bartenders have different levels of customer service. If you find yourself needing service as some other reviews here have suggested don’t be shy to call them on over or just lift your finger up until they make eye contact with you, they’ll usually nod their head at you to acknowledge they saw you. It can get busy and it’s a long bar counter with usually just two bartenders. Be patient and don’t give a bad rating.

Drinks were good and strong. I got to witness a band play live in the evening and they were excellent. Really fun crowd at night, not as many people during the days when I went.

Overall, this hits the check box for a good ole classic saloon.

Awesome live music with no cover charge! The musicians are amazing, though! Make sure to tip them well. I saw some bad reviews about the bartenders having an attitude, but my experience was fine. This was on a Tuesday and also my last night in Texas, otherwise I’d come back to this place often.
