Escalon Golf Course - Escalon, California

My son and I have been to Escalon Golf Course a few times to use their driving range. It's $12 for a full bucket of golf balls. We usually get 2 buckets and spend an hour and a half to enjoy the afternoon. This place is in my little hometown of Escalon.

Love this property but absolutely can’t stand the greens. Every time I go to play there they have issues with the greens and it’s not even close in comparison to any other greens on any other golf course around. They are BAD bad. Fix it or start giving an enormous discount period. Tired of overpaying for around only to be told afterwards that some or all of the greens are under repair. Figure it out.

This course is a very big safety risk there has been many holes I’ve fallen into because of no tapes of area of marker as you can never see anything in the swap conditions there. Also the staff may come off as nice but as time goes on they will blame regulars for the things young golfers do. Also there greens have goffer holes they don’t fix but just move rhe dirt off the green sometimes not at all. I have played here since last year and have seen the greens grow I do wish this place was where it once was but sadly that’s far from. Some of the workers are outright rude in my opinion for the price Stanislaus golf course or the one in ceres is better for the price and the greens are a actual green instead of looking like uks temp fairway greens

A former employee of the escalon golf course. The owners are and willing to do the best they can right now with what we have. Old sprinklers more than half has been replaced . Old valves half has been replaced. Equipment. Well things break down and with no backup. yes the grass grows fast . Oh snap I just love this one. One storm comes through and trees are down the next morning golfers are like you should have had this all cleaned up before you opened as there hat gets blown from there heads because the wind is still blowing. People complain about the carts. I catch young people and I won't say who they are but they know better than to have four people and four bags of clubs in one cart with to of them standing in the back of it bouncing up and down and then come tell me that something is wrong with said carts. I've seen people hit off the greens knowing that you have to take a drop. But know .They hit said ball and take a big divit with it don't even try to repair it or replace it. But come and tell me what's up with the greens. I've never seen them this bad . I'm like. we never had so many un edict and uncaring golfers before. They will spit their sunflower seeds out on the greens and then come in and complain that the rough is a little tall and that they can't find there balls on the outside. Clue the outside is out bounds go to where you seen it first enter and take a drop like your supposed to. But no . I have to listen to other golfers complain about sunflower seeds and that your a slow player and that you messed up the best game they had in awhile. The list goes on. The employees work hard the owners are trying to renew everything that's been in the ground for what now. 40 years or better. So keep on doing what you have been doing. you awesome Ray of sunshine. you really make me want to walk out the door and go to work with a smile, a chuckle and what the duck happened now?

The course was soaking wet. The greens were in the faraway due to maintenance. After the fist hole, I called the clubhouse to let them know I was not happy about the conditions. I'm waiting for my refund to show up on my credit card.

Sadly the greens and traps are not even playable anymore.

Good for practicing short drives and irons but price is too high for just doing that.

A nice golf course to play 9 / 18 holes. Or you can practice your shots in the range. The prices were reasonable, friendly staff and calm atmosphere. Definitely would recommend for a family day out playing golf. If you don't have the clubs, they rent them out too.

Great course for all kinds of experienced and beginner players. Awesome customer service, and an all around good time to play with friends and yourself. 10/10 would definitely keep playing here again and again.
