If you're looking to learn martial arts and get in shape then this is the place. The culture, coaches and fellow students are all very supportive and encouraging. I've taken BJJ and cardio kick boxing classes for the last 6 months. I was a little worried as an older student about injury and not "keeping up" with the younger crowd, but everyone is so supportive and care is taken for all our training partners. It has definitely been a life changing experience for me, and I hope to continue to journey. Thanks to all the coaches and students.

If your looking to get results and have a fun killer work out I suggest you join Dumlao Academy Cardio kick boxing class. It has been a great experience having Jason as my coach. Joining his class has not only help me loose weight but has also motivated me to strive for success and to never limit myself. It's like Jason says " are you a starter or a finisher"? I'm definitely a finisher and so can you 💪🏽

My family and I joined almost a month ago and we love it! We especially love the family environment. My son loves going to his karate class and his instructor Roland is so good with the students. They learn discipline and self defense, plus they are learning about stranger danger. My daughter does the Muay Thai classes and she really likes learning self defense and gets great exercise while she learns fighting skills. I wanted to get involved too so I joined cardio kickboxing with Jason. Best choice I've made for myself. Jason is a great instructor who makes sure to work us out hard and efficiently. He changes it up and makes sure our whole body gets a workout. It is tough, but like he says "what you put in, is what you get out". It's challenging but I love it. If you like a good workout with a challenge, then this is your place. Try it and you won't be disappointed.

My wife and I have had the pleasure of attending Jason's Cardio Kickboxing class for the last six years. We are continuously pushed to our physical limits and encouraged to do more. We started out with my 6-yo signing up for karate because she was interested (2014). Now the whole family is practically here all the time with the hubby in adult karate and FCC, and with me in BJJ and Cardio Kickboxing. This is a very welcoming dojo - everyone is friendly, warm, and supportive. It IS family. Everyone will support you in your goals - be it being fit, learning a new skill, or staying strong. You got to be there to understand what I'm talking about. Their karate program for kids is one of the best in the Bay Area. This dojo is top notch. Dumlao = excellence.

I hit the jackpot. I came to Dumlao's -- in search of a place to learn to defend myself -- after checking out many major Brazillian Jiu Jitsu schools around the bay area. I had a previous injury from another popular BJJ gym and Dumlao's gentle and friendly style of Jiu Jitsu was perfect for me to rehabilitate the injury while still progressing/learning in BJJ. When I was finally able to get serious about Jiu Jitsu this school did NOT disappoint! When you sign up for the BJJ program at Dumlao's -- you have automatic access to 4 different affiliate BJJ schools in the area (Sabre, East Bay Academy, New Creation, Train for Life); each school offering different specialties and atmospheres -- enough to train a range of people (hobbyist to amateur MMA fighters to pro fighters). I owe so much to Dumlao's, they'll always be my home gym/family. I came in unconfident about myself; I left a better person, knowing I can handle not only physical threats but also life's hurdles.

Take care of the mind and body and you will be the happiest you that you can be. The DMA family has been amazing for me, and I shed years off of the age that I felt.
