Croc Encounters was such a unique and educational experience! The tour was fantastic—we got to see so many amazing animals up close while learning about the facility’s mission to rescue nuisance alligators and give them a safe home instead of being euthanized. Whoa! This place is so Florida! If you ever wanted to understand some of the native reptiles, make an appointment with the whole family. Our guide, Alex, was extremely knowledgeable and walked us through learning about the different species, especially the difference between an alligator and crocodile. The animals tend to be less active in the colder months. We were able to hold a snake in the beginning and finished up with holding an alligator at the end. Feeding the tortoises and alligators were also an amazing highlight of the experience. Don't forget cash to tip your guide!

The quintessential gator experience for a Northerner. Had an off day from working the Florida State Fair and went with a buddy on a whim. Booked a tour with Kiana and had the single greatest time in my 11 days of stay. Her tour led our small group through a ton of fun facts with charm, and left me with a drive to want to learn and do more.

If you’re looking for alligators, crocodiles, or just a laid back, fascinating, interactive experience with a variety of different animals —you need to go to Croc Encounters.

What an amazing experience! We took our family during our winter break. Alexander our tour guide was very knowledgeable and personal-able. It was a very safe environment

This place reminded me of something out of 1982 Dan Akroid horror-comedy. It's "old Florida" to be sure. You need to call ahead, because we arrived and the place looked abandoned, and after we walked around for a while, we found a worker, who did call his boss for us, and he did agree to give us a tour. (Watch your step) It cost the four of us $100 for an hour visit, and the guide named DJ was extremely friendly and helpful. My kids loved it, and I must say, it was even educational. I am thankful that there are places like this off the beaten path. I would certainly recommend this stopover.

Alexander was great and handled an unexpectedly large group like a champ! Fun, short tour with some fun facts sprinkled throughout. Definitely feels like these animals are getting the care they deserve/need. Would recommend to any families passing through on vacation!

We had a group with adults and younger children. Experience was great for everyone! Our tour guide Alexander was super friendly and knowledgeable, willing to answer any questions we had. Tour was very educational and hands on….the little ones loved it! Well worth the money and would do this again!
