We love creative keys! I've been bringing my children here for several years. I've loved watching my children grow as musicians beginning at such young ages. My two year old is constantly singing the songs we learn during Music Together. We find fun ways to incorporate the music naturally into almost all of our daily activities! My older boys enjoy attending her group piano lessons. Overall we really love learning music with Lynette at Creative Keys!

Lynette is absolutely incredible. She teaches the kids not just piano but truly teaches music in a way that is fun and engaging for the kids. My children adore her and don’t complain about having to go to lessons like they have in the past. She is patient with the. Golden in helping them learn and grow while still expressing her expectations of them in order to progress. Creative Keys is an amazing place. I started taking my daughters to Music Together almost three years ago, and we're still attending. It is such a happy place for me! My children would soak up what we sang and danced in class and then act it out at home during the week. We have loved listening to the songs in the car and making up new words throughout our day.

Now my oldest is taking group piano lessons from Lynnette. I am blown away by Lynnette's teaching methods. I feel like she is not teaching the students to play songs on the piano--rather, she is teaching them to be musicians of the whole instrument, and of music, rhythm, and sound. Each lesson includes a wide variety of very engaging and interactive elements. Every part of the lesson is purposeful.

After just a couple months of group classes, I watched this group of five- and six-year-olds play a rotating duet of variations. Amazing.

My 6 children have had so much fun learning piano and music at Creative Keys! Ms. Barney is energetic and knowledgeable and takes each child’s personality and preferences into account when teaching piano. The lesson times are filled with fun group activities and challenges. Lots of improvising and pattern recognition to go along with reading music so that students can start making real music from day one.

As a product of Creative Keys, I can personally attest to Mrs. Barney's patience and perseverance in teaching the fine art of piano, even to those who don't (or won't) bother to practice, or who take up lesson time displaying recent compositions instead of whatever I was supposed to be doing... (Highly recommended that you practice, of course.) The skills I learned from her laid a great foundation for when I went to college for music composition. And it's wonderful to be able to sight-read the hymns in church.

If you have a little one who is the least bit interested in music, and you live on the northwest side of Tucson, definitely look into Creative Keys. Even if they aren't interested in music, participating in this music program will enrich and enhance their education and they will be better humans for it. Thank you, Mrs. Barney!

False advertising. She does not cater to adult students and there's no real community of piano players. The owner ignored my online inquiry and lied about her offer to refer me to a teacher that teaches adults when I visited her location to follow up further. The "school" has no sign outside and is just a makeshift obscure outfit in her home. Its looks like an uninviting home daycare center and the owner was not very personable.
