Today at 8am Clay electric came out with a group of 12 people along with 2 of the district manager in Speedville Florida. It is currently 11:21am and still do have any power. I understand that they have to take their time dealing with electricity. But taking advantage of FEMA is selfish. Ya you may get a one time large sum of money. But remember money doesn't last always. I encourage instead of posting pictures for looks record the men in action sweeting and actually working. Remember a picture is worth a thousand words. But those words could be a thousand lies.

We live in Stake Fl. And have been out of power since 1:30am Thursday and we are still out as Saturday and we have not seen one Clay Electric truck in Starke and since a lot of Starke has power they are completely ignoring the little people and taking care of people in Gainesville and elsewhere and it seems like they only take of the people they want to first and the people they care less about later. We pay our bills on time and have never been late and since we are not in their favorite people list they just push us aside. Sorry example of a company that supposed to care about their customers

Wow! Fast restoration to service following Hurricane Ian. I've been in Putnam County a little over 4 years. I had anticipated that living in such a rural area, would result in more frequent power outages or take repair times. But to my surprise, we have rarely been without power and when it does go out during big storms, Clay has it back up and running quickly. We lost power during Ian, and were back up and running in less than 8 hours. Thank you to the whole team at Clay. We appreciate you!

The bright yellow trucks were like a ray of sunshine on our rd after Hurricane Ida. There is wide spread damage in our area. On our rd alone the line was broke in several places and several poles needed replacing. We were told it would be possibly 3 weeks until our power was restored. Thats a long time in Louisiana. But a week and a half after the storm I turned a curve and there were those trucks. They worked very efficiently, left no mess, and moved quickly to handle the difficult job. I really appreciate you guys travelling the distance to be a help to those in need.
Great job!!!!!

When I've called through to speak to a representative during regular business hours they are helpful and friendly. I've never had an issue. However, I have had Clay now for more than 6 years and they do take a very long time to restore outages. Especially after a hurricane. You can only get through to an automated system after regular business hours m-f 8-5. And it seems like you are only a concern for power restoration during those hours as well. So if your power goes out on a Friday evening, you will most likely be without power all weekend and part of Monday as well

I have been with Clay Electric for many many years. Had a new house built and CAN NOT get them out to hook up my power. I'm about to make a SECOND house payment on a home I can't live in. Apparently the Lime supervisor still, for some reason, will not add me to the schedule. And forget trying to get someone to call you back. I had to get a Line Supervisor that's not even in my area to find that out. Worst experience with them EVER. Another neighbor who just had their house built had the same experience with the SAME line supervisor.

This company is an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE to deal with, 10/10 would not recommend. They wrongfully sent me a bill in my name, a bill that was actually meant for another person. & I then contacted them to let them know that what they sent me was a mistake. Instead of them correcting THEIR mistake they are making ME run through so many unnecessary hoops to correct something that THEY messed up, not me. I’ve been dealing with a women named Donna, & I would not recommend handling any of your business with her. She said word for word, “This is all new to me”. Okay so basically you don’t know what you’re doing, right? & you have made a major mistake & refuse to take responsibility for your mistake & fix it. I have tried fixing this issue with them myself & they are impossible to deal with so I will be having my lawyer contact them at this point, this is ridiculous.

I recently had a tree fall on my house and it hit the power line on its way down. As you might imagine, I've been making calls to contractors, insurance companies, etc and have been dealing with some hiccups along the way. This wasn't the case with Clay Electric. When I called, they were responsive and came out right away. Scheduling the cutoff and hookup was extremely convenient. The ladies in the office were really nice and helpful throughout the process. Bruce was the lineman that came out a few times and I wanted to say that he did a FANTASTIC job. He was very personable, friendly, and professional. Just wanted to say THANK YOU to Clay Electric, the ladies in the office, and Bruce for making a tough situation a lot easier on me! Stay safe out there!
