Circle B Bar Reserve - Lakeland, Florida

My friends and I visited Circle B Bar, and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect. The area is teeming with wildlife—birds, armadillos, and, of course, alligators. Unfortunately, the gators didn’t come up to sunbathe on the pathway this time, which was a bit of a letdown, but the experience was still incredible.

Best of all, it’s free to visit, and there are plenty of parking spots available. Just keep in mind that hiking here is at your own risk, so stay aware of your surroundings.

It was our first visit, and we’re already looking forward to coming back! We highly recommend this place to anyone who loves hiking and wildlife spotting. Whether you’re with family or friends, you won’t be disappointed!

A jewel! When I want to experience Florida's nature, Circle B Bar never disappoints. Miles of easy walking and some wheelchair -accessible (bike accessible) trails give pleasant vistas, bird and insect songs and sightings, and deep appreciation of conservation efforts. There are some fairly shady trails, but the majority are probably on the hot/sunny side. Just bring some water, take it easy, and slow down to see the sights.

Amazing place to come for a walk! There is so much wildlife and such a pretty environment. We saw many alligators and birds! Definitely recommend if in the area!! We saw baby alligators and it was such a cool experience! The trails are mapped out so nicely and it’s easy to find your way around. They have a mix of paved and gravel trails.

Absolutely beautiful nature reserve. Very well maintained grounds and various trails of all different types. Lots of wildlife. I will say if you love birds this is absolutely for you. The most birds I've seen in the wild in a long time. So many species of bird at every turn, in the water, in the trees, in the sky. Birds galore. I did want to see more alligators but unfortunately the alligator alley trail has been closed for a bit due to some hurricane damage I was told. Hopefully it will be up and running again soon.
The discovery center was beautiful and very educational. Definitely stop in and check it out. I came here on a very cold day for Florida around 40° I thought I'd see more gators basking but hopefully when i come back on a hotter day everyone will be more active.

I really love this park. It's normally peaceful and you have the opportunity to see a lot of wildlife. There are nice areas of shade, but also long stretches with very little to no shade. I would suggest sunblock, sunglasses and maybe even a hat.

We visited Circle B Bar Reserve and had a great time. The walk was refreshing and filled with abundant wildlife, making it a perfect outing for nature lovers.

The people we encountered were very friendly, adding to the overall positive experience.

One tip: there's no shade beyond the parking area, so don't forget to bring sunscreen if you're planning a visit on a sunny day.

This spectacular 600 acre preserve is free with plenty of parking. There are some paved and wood plank trails. However, most trails are dirt and easy to hike. There are numerous trails and you will see lots of wildlife including many alligators. Beautiful flowers and vegetation. There is quite a bit of shade with some open areas.

There is a visitor center and some picnic tables. Highly recommend this preserve.

Unbelievably beautiful nature habitat. We saw a large variety of shore birds, turtles and alligators, all within arms reach.

If it’s a sunny day definitely bring water and sunscreen! And don’t litter!
